Update: RuPaul and Bingham were adopted on November 13th! RuPaul is determined to live life to the fullest, so there are no shortages of entertaining moments with this baby boy. Like a pro wrestler who climbs on the ropes before leaping onto his opponent, RuPaul enjoys scaling a small cat tree and then pouncing on his brother Bingham and wrestling with him. The boys are in a foster home, where they have been receiving love care and socialization since their abandonment as newborns.  (A man wheeled them into our lobby in a shopping cart and then ran out the door without a word.) RuPaul and Bingham are now 3 months of age, neutered, and ready for adoption into loving homes. The boys can be adopted separately, but please consider adopting them together for lifelong companionship. As we always emphasize, it is imperative they live indoor-only lifestyles for their safety and protection.

Happy Halloween!

Update: Francine was adopted on November 18th! On behalf of Francine -- here showing off a festive costume -- and all of us at Nevada SPCA, we wish you and your loved ones a fun, safe Halloween. Friendly reminder: Please keep companion animals indoors, but away from the chocolates and candy and strangers who come to your door trick-or-treating. A suggestion: A baby gate (under $10 at major department stores) at your front door may help keep your animals from running out when children ring the bell, or keep them from lunging at kids yelling "Boo!" when you open the door. Let's take this opportunity to showcase Francine , who debuts for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.  She is an inquisitive, adorable Miniature Poodle, spayed female, about 4 years of age. We rescued her from another shelter that ran out of space to keep her. Francine delights in giving you sweet kisses and "sits pretty" to please you.   She is compatible with other friendly dogs. Pleas

Nicky & Timothy Update: Nicky & Timothy were adopted on November 10th! These good-looking, friendly Bichon Frises have a beautiful strong bond and dynamic with each other. Nicky has a quiet, gentle nature and Timothy is a ham who wants to be in the spotlight.  While she is more polite, he wants to bounce and engage you. They are both 5 years of age, spayed/neutered, housetrained, good with other dogs and mature kids, and need regular professional grooming. Nicky & Timothy were surrendered to us by their previous owner who said the family home was lost to foreclosure. They are soul-mates and need to remain together forever.  Please come meet these angels.

I am a senior who needs a second chance, please.

Update: Happy was adopted on December 11th! Another shelter contacted us when Happy was surrendered to them and asked us to consider taking her because of her advanced age. Jolly despite losing her home, and her hearing -- she is deaf or nearly deaf -- we decided we certainly had to make room for Happy so that we could find her a loving home where she can live the rest of her life in dignity. Today she debuts for adoption at Nevada SPCA.  She is a Beagle and Terrier mix, spayed female, about 13 years old.  Her teeth are now cleaned and she is on weight maintenance food (because she is beyond pleasantly plump). Happy adores people and dogs.  She is gentle and mellow, and we believe she can fit well into most leisurely lifestyles with ease.   Please give her serious consideration.  While we do not know whether she has several months to live, or several more years, every day is precious.

What does the world have in store for us?

Lucas & Cookie Monster Update 2: Cookie Monster was adopted on November 11th! Update: Lucas was adopted on November 6th! Lucas & Cookie Monster , brother and sister, debut for adoption today at Nevada SPCA. These sweet kittens were rescued when one of our volunteers stumbled upon an oddly positioned box on a sidewalk.  Sure enough, she peered in and found the babies, with no food or water or even a blanket. They are now 4 months of age, spayed/neutered, and eager to find a forever home, full of love.  We prefer they go home together because they enjoy each other's companionship so much.   Lucas is a a cream tabby and Cookie Monster has dilute calico coloring. Like all cats, they need and deserve indoor-only homes for their safety and protection.  Please visit us today and ask for these sweethearts by name.

I am warming up to people beautifully.

Update: The Artful Dodger was adopted on December 31st! This attractive little guy was trying to eke out a survival on a golf course, and apparently he had been successful in doing so for a short time before his rescue. As you know, most of the domesticated bunnies abandoned in parks and golf courses quickly fall prey to coyotes, starvation, birds of prey, and other dangers. Our staff named him The Artful Dodger in tribute to his survival skills.  He is a Dutch mix rabbit with a light blue-grey coat and dark blue-grey eyes, about one year of age.  We had him neutered and he is ready for adoption into a loving home. The Artful Dodger seems to make progress with us every day.  He is learning that humans can be kind and his enthusiasm is increasing for his daily greens and veggies, particularly kale and parsley. He is one of more than 90 rescued, spayed/neutered bunnies for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.  Please visit our new Lovebugs Room and ask for him by name.

Adore me. Spoil me. Protect me.

Marcy craves affection and reassurance. Sit down beside her and she is likely to leap into your arms, purring and chirping in glee. Marcy also loves to be brushed and groomed and fussed over, and she is not shy when it is time to get treats. She is a young, petite medium-hair with white boots and a half-moustache and expressive whiskers.  She is spayed, 2 years young, and debuting for adoption today. Marcy needed us when her previous owner abandoned her.  Please visit and ask for her by name.

The years have helped me become more distinguished.

Seniors have just as much love to offer as kittens and younger cats, but generally get overlooked by adopters. We invite you to consider Banjo , a calm-natured boy with a mellow spirit and heart of gold.  He wears a butterscotch tuxedo that God gave him, he is neutered and approximately 10 years of age. Banjo was abandoned at a veterinary hospital and had nowhere to go.  We made room for him and he debuts for adoption today. If you seek a lap cat, then please come meet Banjo and ask for him by name. Like all cats, he needs an indoor-only lifestyle for his safety and protection.

I would love to be pampered for a change.

Update: Cisco was adopted on February 9th! This little bandit can steal your heart in seconds flat. Cisco is cute, engaging, and irresistible, especially once he starts chatting with you or dancing on his hind legs. He is a Miniature Poodle, neutered male, 4 years of age, debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA. We rescued him from another shelter, so his background is mostly unknown.  He had a large scab on his neck, presumably from a collar that had been dangerously tight and rubbing him raw, but he is healing well. Cisco enjoys other sweet dogs and needs regular professional grooming care.

I am ready to shower you with sunshine.

Update: Max was adopted on October 29th! Seriously, can you get more handsome than this angelic face? Max is a joyful young sweetheart debuting for adoption today.  He is a Yellow Labrador Retriever, neutered male, one year young. Besides getting along well with dogs, he reportedly is compatible with children, cats, ferrets, and birds. Max needed us because his previous owner did not have enough time for him and made him live outdoors in the backyard.  He needs to live primarily indoors as a cherished member of the family, so please be patient with him and help him establish a steady routine and complete housetraining. He is a bit rebellious on a leash and needs basic dog training.  Please be willing and able to provide this training for him.  He is eager to please, so we believe he will catch on quickly.

My love will make your heart sing.

Karen Carpenter earned her name with her lyrical chirping. She is a gorgeous young girl, shorthair feline, mostly white with a dramatic black crown and piercing green eyes, spayed, approximately 3 years of age. Karen Carpenter is very warm-hearted.  Though shy with strangers, she responds well to soft voices, and once she trusts you she melts like butter. She had been abandoned at an apartment complex and wandered in someone's apartment when she was desperate for food and water, perhaps as a last act to seek help.  She has made an amazing recovery. Karen Carpenter is very good and respectful with other cats.  Please visit Nevada SPCA's free-roaming Cat Condo playrooms and ask for this sweetheart by name. Very special thanks to Pet'ographique for this lovely portrait that captures her sweet nature.

Adopt me for a lifetime of enchantment.

Update: Brandon was adopted on October 29th! Brandon is obviously very striking on the outside, but he is beautiful on the inside too. He is a well behaved, sweet Silky Terrier, neutered, about 3 years young, debuting for adoption today. Besides getting along well with other friendly dogs, Brandon is reportedly housetrained (with a doggie door) and compatible with kind, older children. Please budget extra for regular professional grooming care.   This varies with each dog, but planning on roughly quarterly grooming will help keep him clean, feeling good, and looking terrific. Silky Terrier knowledge and/or experience is preferred for his adoption. Brandon was surrendered to us by his previous owner because he "barks".

I think you will fall in love with my dancing.

Image
Update: Frederico was adopted on October 29th! If you detest doggie kisses, then Frederico is not the right match for you. This affectionate, silly, entertaining boy loves to sneak in licks and kisses, and wow you with his standing dances where he swims in the air with his front paws. Frederico is a charming Shih-Tzu & Maltese mix, neutered, about 3 years young. We rescued him from another shelter. Frederico enjoys other friendly dogs and needs regular professional grooming care.  Please meet and adopt him today.

Will you be our guardian angel?

Klem Cleetus Clea Update 2: Cleetus was adopted on October 30th! Update: Clea and Klem were adopted on October 29th! Clea , and her brothers Cleetus and Klem , are nicknamed the " Heavenly Puppies " because of their angelic, super sweet temperaments. The trio debuts for adoption today.  They are Labrador Retriever mixes, spayed/neutered, about 4 months of age, and they will grow to medium or large size. Their debut is especially triumphant.  Last month a man walked in our lobby with a plastic container, dropped it on the floor, and then bolted out the doors and ran as fast as he could to his car.  These three babies were curled up together, shivering in fright, and it turned out the boys were very sick with the deadly parvo virus. We had Cleetus and Klem treated extensively at a veterinary hospital and both made full recoveries.  Fortunately, Clea did not develop the disease. (Please visit our Donate page at our main web site if you can make a tax-deduct

Together. Forever.

Update: Lucy & Tosser were adopted on November 6th! If you have room for two, we believe you would be hard-pressed to find sweethearts with better natures than this pair of Puggles (Pug & Beagle mixes). Lucy & Tosser are 2-year-olds, sister and brother, strongly bonded, and debuting for adoption today. This lighthearted pair needs to remain together for the rest of their lives, as they are not just siblings, but soul-mates. Lucy & Tosser are reportedly housetrained (with a doggie door), crate-trained, and compatible with kind children of all ages. They needed us when a member of their previous family became seriously ill.

Please consider me. I have so much love.

Update: Pepper was adopted on October 29th! Pepper is an intelligent, loyal youngster, well-behaved and shy with new people. She is a lovely blend of breeds, including Australian Cattle Dog, medium size, with a blue sunburst in her left eye.  She is spayed, about 3 years of age, and debuting for adoption today. Besides knowing basic training commands, Pepper is compatible with cats and dogs and children, plus housetrained and crate-trained too. She needed us due to her previous owners' financial hardship.

Why did they throw me away like trash?

Update: Selvester was adopted on November 12th! There is a reason our staff and volunteers have trouble walking by dumpsters without peering into them. Sometimes there are two terrified little eyes glaring back at us. We never stop being astounded and outraged by the human monsters among us who toss living animals away, literally in the trash. One of our volunteers dumpster-dived to save this precious puppy who we named Selvester . Selvester is a Cockapoo (Cocker Spaniel and Poodle mix), neutered male, between 7-9 months of age.  Today, he valiantly debuts for adoption at Nevada SPCA. We love Selvester's happy-go-lucky personality and his adorable underbite.   He is good with other sweet dogs and needs regular professional grooming care. Please remember to carefully puppy-proof your home and yard for his safety and protection. Big thanks to all of you who help spread the word about rescued animals in need of new loving homes.  Using the button bar below this post, y

Is it really possible to be too bubbly?

Update: Laika was adopted on October 29th! Laika is an energetic youngster, still very puppy-like, who lost her home because she was more playful and less a "lap dog". We find this sweetheart to be perfectly natural for her age, zippy and outgoing and curious, as most puppies and young dogs are as they learn about the world and their immediate environments. Laika is a beautiful Longhair Chihuahua mix, spayed, about one year of age, and she debuts for adoption today. Besides getting along well with other dogs, she is reportedly housetrained and crate-trained. Laika responds best to gentle people and she is sometimes shy with strangers.

My love will help make your house a home.

Update: Matthew was adopted on November 1st! Who can resist his charming, bright eyes?  They plead for affection, attention, and understanding. Matthew is a handsome, distinguished Himalayan feline who needed us when his previous owner lost the family home to foreclosure.  He is neutered, about 3 years young, and previously declawed. We cannot emphasize enough the importance of keeping cats safely indoors only, where they can be loved and protected.  Particularly for Matthew , without his claws he has few defenses for the many dangers that would await him outdoors. Matthew needs brushing, at least weekly, so please plan accordingly.  He is fine with most cats and very friendly with people. Please meet and adopt him in Nevada SPCA's free-roaming Cat Condo playrooms.

It is not my fault that I am losing my hearing.

Image
Update: Calvin was adopted on November 6th! Calvin was surrendered to another shelter because he is deaf, or nearly deaf.  That shelter asked us to take Calvin to help find him a special needs home, and we happily agreed. He is a mellow, sweet older boy, at least 8 years of age.  He is a Cocker Spaniel, neutered, and his teeth have been cleaned and his ears flushed. Calvin is compatible with other dogs, plus he is reportedly housetrained.  He reportedly is aggressive with cats though. His loss of hearing is apparently rather recent, so he needs an experienced, patient owner who will work out a series of hand signals for him for good communication.   For example, we teach deaf dogs that a "thumbs up" means all is well and we are happy with him/her.  Then, our staff and volunteers walk by the dog's kennel and flash the thumbs up sign throughout the day. Please visit and ask for Calvin by name.  He needs a hero.

Your loving home will be my castle.

At first blush, Magumi seems to be a big, lazy boy. But this very attractive cat actually is quite meticulous when it comes to slowly and deliberately exploring rooms for cubby holes and cozy hiding places. He loves finding a secret place, as high up in the room as he can, to snuggle in for a catnap.  A multi-tiered cat tree would be heaven for him. Magumi is a sweetheart, though he gets fussy at times.  He is most likely a cross between a Maine Coon and a Snowshoe and he has deep blue eyes.  He is neutered and approximately 3 years of age. He needed us when his previous owner moved out of the country. Please ask for Magumi by name in Nevada SPCA's free-roaming Cat Condo playrooms.

I need to feel loved.

Update: Ivan was adopted on October 28th! One of our staff came upon three young people in a parking lot peering under a car. He approached them, knelt down, and saw this little angel cowering and shaking behind one of the wheels.  The young people told him that he was their dog and that he just jumped out of the car when they parked and scrambled to the hiding place. But they were gawking, not making any attempt to retrieve him, and he was in danger of being struck by another vehicle if he dashed out.  So our staff person slid underneath and collected the shivering puppy, who dug his front paws in to his hands to hold on tight. He was smeared with asphalt and tire streaks, making his coat look grey (instead of its natural white and beige).  When the puppy was handed to the young lady who said she was the owner, she held him away from her body, turned her head and raised her nose in disgust at his filthy condition. Our staff person then said, "You don't want him anymo

Please don't break our lifelong bond.

Allegra Dante Allegra & Dante are not just sister and brother, they are soul-mates too. They snuggle, comforting each other through the trauma of losing a home and being rescued. Both are chocolate point Siamese mixes with captivating blue eyes, spayed/neutered, between 4-6 years of age. Allegra & Dante were previously declawed.  It is imperative that they live indoor-only lifestyles for their safety and protection (and we believe all cats, whether declawed or not, need indoor-only homes). Please visit Nevada SPCA's free-roaming Cat Condo playrooms and ask for these sweet siblings by name.

Play soccer with me.

Bosco is ready today to bring fun and excitement to your life. He is an outgoing, friendly, engaging youngster with a cheery nature.   He enjoys frisbees, soccer balls, and splashing around in wading pools. Bosco is a handsome Boxer, neutered male, 18 months of age, debuting for adoption today.  Boxer knowledge and/or experience is needed for his adoption. He was rescued by neighbors after his previous owners abandoned him in a foreclosed home.  Bosco is reportedly compatible with other dogs and kind children, plus he is housetrained and crate-trained. Please note he requires an experienced owner because of his alpha tendencies, including jumping on people and seeing what other mischief he can get away with.  Please only consider him if you are willing and able to provide dog training for him.

My foster mom saved me and my sisters.

Update: Trotter Girl was adopted on October 23rd! At the time of rescue Trotter Girl and her sisters (Spinart, Splatter, and Trinket) were motherless newborns in need of bottle/eye-dropper feedings every few hours to survive. We placed them with a very compassionate foster mom, who fed them right on schedule, even waking up twice in the middle of each night to feed them. Trotter Girl and her sisters are now 5 months of age, spayed, and ready for adoption into forever homes.  All four girls are beautiful, spunk orange tabbies who love to jump and run. Please only consider Trotter Girl (and any other rescued cat) if you can make a lifetime commitment to keeping her safely and strictly indoors as a cherished member of your family.

We are ready for our big debut!

Mickey Super Cammy Update 2: Cammy and Super were adopted on October 23rd! Update: Mickey was adopted on October 22nd! Cammy and her brothers Mickey and Super are nicknamed " The Boston Jack Puppies " because they are reportedly Boston Terrier & Jack Russell Terrier mixes.  (Their brother Curtis will be available at a future time, but he had been exposed to the parvo virus and we are providing him with medical care to conquer the disease.) They needed us when they were rescued outdoors, their momma nowhere in sight, and they were in great need.  Cammy, Mickey, and Super are bouncy, fun-loving, outgoing babies and they need plenty of daily playtime to express their curiosity and release energy. The Boston Jack Puppies are now spayed/neutered, 3 months of age, and ready for adoption into forever homes.  They can be adopted separately, but please consider adopting a pair, or the trio, for lifelong love and companionship. As we always mention with pupp

Are we going to be okay?

Rocky Scruffy Meeko Update 3: Meeko was adopted on December 24th! Update 2: Scruffy was adopted on November 20th! Update: Rocky was adopted on October 23rd! These three loving seniors were surrendered to another shelter by their previous owners when the family home was lost to foreclosure. Because of their old ages, they are 10-11 years of age, they did not qualify for adoption there and Nevada SPCA was asked to take them.  They debut for adoption with us today. All three are housetrained, neutered males, compatible with other dogs.  Rocky is a Shih-Tzu with an easy-going disposition.  Scruffy is a Terrier and Dachshund mix with a jolly outlook and beaming smile.  Meeko is a quiet-natured Chiweenie (Chihuahua & Dachshund). They can be adopted separately, but please consider adopting a pair, or the trio, for companionship. Seniors have just as much unconditional love as youngsters, plus deep gratitude for those who open their hearts to them during their late

Can I tell you a little bit about me?

Image
Update: Xavier was adopted on November 2nd! Xavier is a very sweet boy who can offer you infinite devotion and adoration. He is a good looking Labrador Retriever mix debuting for adoption today.  He is neutered and about 3 years young. Xavier needed us when his previous owner moved to an apartment that does not accept big dogs. He is reportedly housetrained and compatible with friendly dogs and children. Please note that Xavier needs to build more confidence and self-esteem.  He is skittish with loud, sudden noises.

I'm tiny, so how could I be deemed as taking up too much space?

Image
Update: Lucky was adopted on October 23rd! Lucky is ready to dazzle and provide you with a lifetime of unconditional love. He is excitable and mischievous, enjoying sneaking you kisses when least expected. Lucky is Silky Terrier puppy debuting for adoption today.  He is neutered and approximately 8 months of age.  He is good with other friendly dogs and needs periodic professional grooming care. Please be sure to carefully puppy-proof your home and yard for his safety and protection.  Silky Terrier knowledge and/or experience is preferred for his adoption. Lucky was given to us by his previous owner who said she had "no space" for him.

Will our futures be full of love and tenderness?

Dewy, Stewy, Lewy, and Huey Update 2: Dewy, Lewy, and Stewy were adopted on October 25th! Update: Huey was adopted on October 23rd! These precious baby boys debut for adoption today. You may remember their momma, Curly Sue , who was previously featured on this site.  (She is pictured at the bottom of this post.)  She was rescued off the streets the day before giving birth to four babies, named Dewy, Huey, Lewy, and Stewy . Mom and boys were placed in foster care for loving attention and nurturing.  Curly Sue was spayed and adopted earlier this month.  She is a Pekingese and we do not know who their father is, so while they look like purebreed Pekingese puppies we cannot say this for sure. Curly Sue's puppies are now neutered and ready for adoption.  They can be adopted separately, but please consider adopting a pair for lifelong companionship. The boys are very even-tempered, sensitive, and gentle.  They will need regular professional grooming care, so please plan

Being blind does not stop me from being a loving companion.

Update: Ray was adopted on October 23rd! Ray is an enthusiastic little trooper. He is a Shih-Tzu, neutered male, about 8 years of age, debuting for adoption today. At the time of rescue he was near a busy intersection, in extreme danger of being struck by a vehicle.  It was evident he was blind and suffering from a very severe ear infection that had him tilting his head sideways. We had his ear infection treated and he recovered well.  While Ray gently bumps furniture and other obstacles as he learns new spaces, he needs you to speak to him before touching him.  Otherwise, he can get agitated and anxious, so an adult-only home is required. Ray seems to do best with other dogs around, or a person who can be with him most of the time, so he doesn't feel lost and disoriented.  If you have stairs or a pool at your home, they will need to be gated (baby-gate or other obstacle) for his safety and protection. Ray has tremendous loving potential.  Please ask for him by name

Adopt me for a lifetime of sweet cuddles.

Image
Update: Hayden was adopted on October 23rd! When you see Hayden you want to give him a hug. This endearing, robust, very social puppy glows with a sunny nature. Hayden is a beautiful blend of many breeds, including Shepherd, and we expect him to grow to about medium size.  He is neutered and approximately 4 months of age. At the time of rescue, Hayden was dodging cars in the parking lot of a major department store.  He was just a few weeks old then, so we placed him in a loving foster home for extra special care and socialization until he was old enough to be neutered. Hayden is available for adoption tomorrow (Saturday) at 11am, when his foster mom brings him for his big debut.  He is fine with friendly, respectful dogs and, thanks to his foster home, he is compatible with cats too. Please carefully puppy-proof your home and yard for his safety and protection.  Also, please only consider Hayden if you can make a lifetime commitment to him (up to 15 years or so) becoming

I have a winning spirit.

Update: Shelly was adopted on December 22nd! Shelly was one of four kittens, plus their momma, who one of our volunteers found sealed in a cardboard box in a parking lot. As you can imagine, they were in extreme distress, thirsty and hungry and panting.  They were cooled down and provided tender loving care, and all five fortunately survived. Shelly and her mom (Judy) and siblings (Bonnie, Guy, and Maria) have been spayed/neutered and they are ready for adoption into caring, forever homes. We love Shelly's sweetness and gentle nature, along with the cute little white lines on the sides of her nose.  She is great with other cats. Please visit Nevada SPCA's free-roaming Cat Condo playrooms and meet Shelly and more than 200 other rescued, spayed/neutered cats available for adoption.

Please help me channel my energy into good behavior.

Image
Update: Danny was adopted on November 2nd! Danny is so full of joy for life that it can be difficult to slow him down.  He is exceptionally exuberant, so hearty playtime with him daily is in order to help him release energy and express curiosity. He is surprisingly large for being just 3 months of age, so we believe he may be an American Bulldog mix.  (He is on track to being bigger than most Bully breeds).  He is neutered and debuting for adoption today. Danny needs to live primarily indoors with you.  His pink skin, especially around his ears, eyes, nose, and mouth can easily sunburn. Please take great precautions puppy-proofing your home and yard for his safety and protection.  He also needs dog training to help give him positive guidance, so please only adopt him if you are fully committed to providing dog training for him. We rescued Danny from a previous owner who no longer wanted him.

We hope you will love and treat us like priceless jewels.

Ruby, Stone, and Diamond Update 2: Ruby was adopted on October 23rd! Update: Diamond and Stone were adopted on October 22nd! These three angels are nicknamed the " Gemstone Puppies " due to their sparkling temperaments. Sisters Ruby and Diamond , and their brother Stone (pictured in the middle), are adorable, playful babies debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA. They are very cuddly puppies and enjoy snuggling with you for reassurance and comfort. We rescued them and their mother, Crystal (photographed below), a Chiweenie (Chihuahua and Dachshund).  We do not know who their father is, but all indications suggest they will remain small like their mother. Crystal has already been spayed and adopted.  Now, the Gemstone Puppies are spayed/neutered and ready for forever homes too.  They are approximately 3 months of age. Please remember to carefully puppy-proof your home and yard for their safety and protection.  The puppies can be adopted separately.

Please do not hand me away again.

Update: Rhapsody in Blue was adopted on November 1st! We know you will fall in love with this very sweet young girl, named Rhapsody in Blue due to her lyrical personality and light blue eyes. She is most likely a Polish and Dwarf mix rabbit.  She is spayed and about approximately 18 months young. Rhapsody in Blue enjoys people.  She has a strong personality, so she is not afraid to express herself and she gets impatient when we are even just a few minutes late with her daily greens and veggies and fresh Timothy hay. She was adopted around Easter from another shelter, than handed from person to person, what we refer to as the dangerous game of 'musical chairs' for animals, with no one making a lifelong commitment to her. Rhapsody in Blue needs a committed, nurturing person who will give her a forever home and make her an adored member of the family. She is one of 90 rescued, spayed/neutered bunnies for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.  Please visit our new Lovebugs Roo

Do I dare trust you to keep me forever?

Update: Prada was adopted on October 23rd! Our staff members gush that this little beauty, named Prada , is well on her way to becoming 'fabulous' -- provided her new owner patiently helps her with more socialization. Prada is a lovely Chiweenie (Chihuahua and Dachshund mix), spayed, just 1-2 years of age, and debuting for adoption today. Besides adoring other dogs, she is reportedly compatible with cats and older, mature children.  She is also housetrained, but on paper, so she will need your good guidance if you want her to begin going to the bathroom outdoors. She needed us when her previous owner abandoned her with a roommate. Prada delights in playing with her flamingo bird toy.  She is ready to give you a lifetime of entertainment and unconditional love.

Can I lean on you?

Image
Update: Goldie Bear was adopted on October 20th! We love Goldie Bear's human-like face.  She is gorgeous! And she is beautiful on the inside too.  Though shy at first, she nestles with those she likes, leaning on them for bonding, and she may even sneak in a kiss or two. Goldie Bear is an intelligent, good-natured, medium-size Shepherd and Retriever mix.  She is spayed and approximately 18 months of age. She needed us because her previous owner said he had "too many dogs". Goldie Bear is not only good with other dogs, but she is reportedly compatible with kind children of all ages. She needs to learn to live primarily indoors as a cherished member of your family, and we believe she will pick this up quickly.  So please be patient with her and provide positive guidance for housetraining. Goldie Bear debuts for adoption today.

Thank you for knowing that my life is precious.

Image
Update: Sparkey was adopted on October 30th! Super cute Sparkey brings laughter and smiles with his playful antics. He also brings tears of joy, as he survived a life-threatening disease, the parvo virus, which so many puppies are susceptible to throughout the community, especially when their owners fail to get them properly vaccinated. Donations from compassionate people like you saved Sparkey's life.  We had extensive medical care provided for him and he made a full recovery.  Sparkey is a very attractive blend of many breeds, including Retriever.  We expect him to grow to medium size.  We had him neutered and he is good with other dogs, about 3 months of age, and debuting for adoption today. To help save innocent life, like Sparkey , please donate to Nevada SPCA .  We do not receive government funding, so our lifesaving work for community animals in need is 100% dependent on your generosity.

I am a Teacup Chihuahua with the heart of a lion.

Image
Update: Pancho was adopted on October 21st! Pancho has no shortage of confidence. This suave, tiny boy can strut like a rooster. Beneath all the bravado though is a loverboy.   At times he enjoys trying to lick you to death. Pancho is a Teacup Chihuahua debuting for adoption today.  He is neutered and approximately 8 years of age. We have no clue why he was surrendered to us.  His previous owner did not speak English or Spanish and we were unable to communicate with her, but she made it clear she no longer wanted him. Pancho has enormous love to share though.  He is compatible with other friendly dogs and he is ready to begin charming you for life.  Please come meet and adopt him.

I look to you for good guidance and a lifetime commitment to me.

Update: Kanyon was adopted on January 6th! Sunshine always seems to follow this fun-loving, exuberant youngster. Kanyon debuts for adoption today.  He is a handsome Yellow Labrador Retriever, neutered male, just a year of age. Besides loving people and other friendly dogs, he is reportedly compatible with kind children of all ages. Please provide Kanyon with basic dog training to help him channel his energy into good behavior. He needed us when his previous owner said there was a drastic change in the family's living environment.  He said Kanyon is housetrained and crate-trained.
