Why did they throw me away like trash?

Update: Selvester was adopted on November 12th!

There is a reason our staff and volunteers have trouble walking by dumpsters without peering into them.

Sometimes there are two terrified little eyes glaring back at us.

We never stop being astounded and outraged by the human monsters among us who toss living animals away, literally in the trash.

One of our volunteers dumpster-dived to save this precious puppy who we named Selvester.

Selvester is a Cockapoo (Cocker Spaniel and Poodle mix), neutered male, between 7-9 months of age.  Today, he valiantly debuts for adoption at Nevada SPCA.

We love Selvester's happy-go-lucky personality and his adorable underbite.  He is good with other sweet dogs and needs regular professional grooming care.

Please remember to carefully puppy-proof your home and yard for his safety and protection.

Big thanks to all of you who help spread the word about rescued animals in need of new loving homes.  Using the button bar below this post, you can forward Selvester's picture and story to friends and family by email, Twitter, Facebook, or Buzz.
