Happy Halloween!

Update: Francine was adopted on November 18th!

On behalf of Francine -- here showing off a festive costume -- and all of us at Nevada SPCA, we wish you and your loved ones a fun, safe Halloween.

Friendly reminder: Please keep companion animals indoors, but away from the chocolates and candy and strangers who come to your door trick-or-treating.

A suggestion: A baby gate (under $10 at major department stores) at your front door may help keep your animals from running out when children ring the bell, or keep them from lunging at kids yelling "Boo!" when you open the door.

Let's take this opportunity to showcase Francine, who debuts for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.  She is an inquisitive, adorable Miniature Poodle, spayed female, about 4 years of age.

We rescued her from another shelter that ran out of space to keep her.

Francine delights in giving you sweet kisses and "sits pretty" to please you.  She is compatible with other friendly dogs.

Please plan on regular professional grooming for her and budget extra accordingly.
