Update: Bailey was adopted on September 11th! Bailey is a tiny boy with big, round eyes and a flashy, fun temperament. We know very little about his background. We rescued him from another shelter. But we know he is a natural entertainer and he is compatible with dogs as well as people. Bailey is a Terrier & Toy mix, neutered, approximately 4 years of age, and he debuts for adoption today. Please come meet him. You can ask for him by name at the front desk at our headquarters and then spend time with him on the adoption patio or in the courtyard.

We were dumped secretly in the dead of night.

Update: Currier & Ives were adopted on September 3rd! The shelter's night security guard was walking outside around the building when he stumbled upon a cage with these two cute young boys inside. There was no food or water for them, or even a note. We named them Currier & Ives , and they are strongly bonded brothers, American breed guinea pigs, about one year of age. Though disposed of cowardly and recklessly, they do not show signs of abuse. Both are affectionate and outgoing, and especially enthusiastic for their daily greens and salads. Please adopt Currier & Ives and keep them together forever. You can meet them in our new Lovebugs adoption room for rabbits, guinea pigs, gerbils, hamsters, and other small animals.

My feline love is magical.

Update: Casanova was adopted on September 6th! Casanova lost his mom when she became terminally ill, and this broke his heart. He stopped eating and stressed so much that some of his hair fell out. Slowly, but steadily, he is perking up emotionally and re-engaging with people and other cats, and his hair is growing back beautifully. But we are anxious to have him join a new household so his progress will speed up. Casanova is an exceptionally attractive Siamese with deep blue eyes and tremendous loving potential. He is declawed (previously), neutered, and approximately 6 years of age. Please ask for him by name in Nevada SPCA's free-roaming Cat Condo playrooms. He likes to hang out in a tall cat tree with an enclosed perch in the Doc's Cathouse room. Special thanks to Pet'ographique , the photography boutique in Henderson, for this breathtaking portrait of Casanova to help him find a new loving owner.

They left me to die alone in the backyard.

Update: Cody was adopted on August 31st! It is easy to fall in love with Cody . He is an exceptionally sweet, radiant boy with a delightful personality. Cody is a Yorkshire Terrier, neutered, about 4 years of age, and he debuts for adoption today. He was tossed to one of our board members in a parking lot. His face was encrusted with dried blood and puss, and his left eye was severely, painfully infected. His previous owner told us that he breeds Yorkshire Terriers and that he had bred Cody . But his brother breeds too, a large dog breed (Rottweilers), and one of them had attacked Cody and pierced his left eye and face when he was bitten on the head. His previous owner said the attack had occurred two weeks prior and that they had expected Cody to die in the backyard, and they left him there to roam and pass away on his own. When he managed to survive, they just wanted rid of him and agreed to let us rescue him. Cody triumphed, thanks to medical care we had provided for his infe

I offer something priceless, and that is unconditional love.

Update: Tiffany was adopted on September 27th! Tiffany is beautiful inside and out. She is a jazzy, spirited puppy, energetic and inquisitive. Tiffany is most likely a Miniature Schnauzer & Terrier mix. She is spayed, about 6 months of age, and debuting for adoption today. We expect her to grow to medium size by adulthood. Please plan on regular professional grooming care to keep her clean and healthy. Tiffany likes some dogs, but she is picky and she is too active for some dogs to handle. We rescued her from another shelter that had run out of space to keep her.

I see life as a heavenly experience.

Update: Pogo was adopted on September 2nd! Despite losing his previous home and landing in a shelter, Pogo never lost his innocence. He is a zany, fun-loving boy, young at heart . Pogo is a Yellow Labrador Retriever, neutered, about 6 years of age. We rescued him from another shelter that ran out of space to keep him. He loves people and he seems compatible with most other dogs too. Pogo debuts for adoption today. Labrador Retriever knowledge and/or experience is preferred.

I love people and dogs who are nurturing.

Update: Mandy was adopted on September 25th! Besides a patient, tender new owner, Mandy would love to have a nurturing dog serve as a pseudo-guide dog for her. She is nearly blind due to cataracts in both eyes. She is all sweetheart, outgoing and affectionate. Mandy is a Toy Poodle, spayed female, about 10 years of age. She needed us when her previous owner became too ill to care for her. Mandy reportedly is housetrained and compatible with kind, mature children. Please plan on regular grooming care for her. We had her teeth cleaned and her hernia repaired. She is doing well now and debuts for adoption today.

When the new baby arrived we got the boot.

Update: Donte & Samora were adopted on September 3rd! It is heartbreaking that loyal family companions like Donte & Samora , and countless other companion animals, get bumped out of households upon the arrival of human babies. Master adapters, most dogs and other pets can adjust to the family's new edition surprisingly well. Donte & Samora are debuting today for adoption and they are ready for a committed home where they never have to worry about rejection again. They are strongly bonded young Chihuahuas, soul-mates who adore one another. Donte is a cute little jumping bean of a boy, full of vigor, while precious Samora is a quieter-natured girl who likes to bury herself in cozy blankets. They are spayed/neutered and about 2 years young, good with other sweet dogs, and reportedly housetrained and crate-trained.

You were there for me when almost all hope was gone.

Update: Helga was adopted on August 30th! Helga is a joyous puppy, loving and sweet, with stunning blue sunbursts in both eyes. At the time of rescue she had been cast out on the streets, sick with the deadly parvo virus, and in grave danger of succumbing to the disease. We had emergency medical care provided for her, and after extensive treatment, she made a full, valiant recovery. Helga is a gorgeous Terrier mix, spayed female, about 9 months of age, and she debuts for adoption today. Please carefully puppy-proof your home and yard for her safety and protection. Helga is good with people and dogs. Please be sure to set aside plenty of playtime with her daily. Helga was saved thanks to the donations of caring people like you who donate to Nevada SPCA .

I would love to be your very own Don Juan.

Image
Update: Don Juan was adopted on August 28th! Don Juan is indeed a loverboy. He cherishes your attention and he likes giving kisses. Don Juan is most likely a Yorkshire Terrier & Silky Terrier mix. He is neutered and just a year of age. He is compatible with other dogs and needs regular professional grooming care. At the time of rescue by a good Samaritan he was in a severely neglected condition. Please adopt him and shower him with adoration so that he never again feels unwanted or unappreciated. Don Juan debuts for adoption today.

Please adopt me for a lifetime of unconditional love and loyalty.

Image
Update: Scrappy was adopted on October 25th! Scrappy (the name he arrived with) is a radiant, well-behaved boy and his good nature beams from his warm eyes and smile. He is a Yellow Labrador Retriever mix, neutered, about 6 years of age, debuting for adoption today. Scrappy enjoys other friendly dogs and he reportedly loves children of all ages. While reportedly housetrained, his previous owner admitted to keeping him outdoors the past year, so he may need your patience and good guidance to get back on track with housetraining. Scrappy needed us when his previous owner became unemployed and had to move. Please ask for this sweetheart by name and spend time with him in our adoption courtyard.

I am a baby and I belong indoors with you, not stuck out in the garage.

Image
Update: Zephyr was adopted on September 3rd! Zephyr is a frisky, zippy puppy, athletic and bursting with curiosity. He is a super cute, tri-color Jack Russell Terrier & Chihuahua mix, neutered male, about 7 months of age. Zephyr needs an active lifestyle and he enjoys other playful dogs. Please be sure to carefully puppy-proof your home and yard for his safety and protection. His previous owner admitted to making him live in the garage and backyard, so he may need your patience and guidance to complete housetraining. Please be sure to let him live predominantly indoors with you so that he can be a proper member of your family. Zephyr debuts for adoption today.

I need a responsible, committed owner.

Image
Update: Leven was adopted on September 4th! Leven was one of the countless animals on the dangerous streets, fortunately rescued before he was struck by a vehicle or met other harm. But he had no ID tags and no microchip, indicating he was either thrown out intentionally or with a reckless owner who failed to take even the basic precautions necessary to keep him identified in the event he got loose. Leven deserves better, as all animals do -- they depend and rely on people for their survival -- and we are eager to find him a forever home where he knows he will be safe and cherished every day. He is an adorable youngster with very expressive eyes and a gentle spirit. Leven is apprehensive with new people, wondering who intends him harm, perhaps due to past abuse (physical and/or screaming). He is a Terrier & Toy mix, neutered male, 2 years young, debuting for adoption today. We believe he will do best in a quiet home, with another dog he can bond with too.

I am a baby-faced boy who adores belly rubs.

Image
Update: Booma was adopted on August 31st! Booma (the name he arrived with) is a knock-out, both exceptionally handsome and super sweet. He is guaranteed to charm and he has a sparkling personality. Booma is a Rottweiler, neutered male, about 6 years of age. He enjoys kind children and he is compatible with other friendly dogs, plus housetrained (with a doggie door) and crate-trained too. One of his favorite toys is the Kong, filled with peanut butter or other treats. Booma was surrendered to us. His owner declined to give a reason other than "rescue". Booma debuts for adoption today at Nevada SPCA. Rottweiler knowledge and/or experience is needed for his adoption. Please note that since he is an adult purebred, and a breed prone to hip dysplasia, we had him evaluated by a veterinarian who found no outward signs of problems. Nonetheless, please monitor his hips with your veterinarian, who may suggest an x-ray for confirmation in the years to come.

I have a lifetime of smiles for you.

Image
Update: Baxter was adopted on August 27th! Baxter adores kind children. He is a happy, cheery boy, a tad shy with new people but outgoing with those he knows. Baxter is reportedly a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel & Cocker Spaniel mix. He is neutered, about 6 years of age, and debuting for adoption today. He is a well-behaved sweetheart, compatible with friendly dogs and housetrained (with a doggie door). Please plan on regular professional grooming care and budget extra accordingly. (We had him groomed for today's big debut.) Spaniel knowledge and/or experience is preferred for his adoption. Baxter needed us when his previous owner lost the family home to foreclosure.

Adopt me and make me your precious lovebug.

Update: Nanna was adopted on August 30th! One of the most endearing things about little Nanna is how humble and unassuming she is, and grateful for your gentle touch. She is a petite Maltese mix with Teddy Bear eyes, spayed female, approximately 8 years of age. We rescued Nanna from another shelter and had her teeth cleaned. She debuts for adoption today at Nevada SPCA. Nanna is compatible with other sweet dogs and she needs regular grooming care. We believe she will do best in a quieter home because of her sensitive nature.

Life on 3 legs is no problem. I am just happy to be alive.

Image
Update: Republic was adopted on September 2nd! Republic is a noble, wise youngster, smart enough to realize that there is no time for pity when you can still enjoy the every day wonders of life. Come meet him at Nevada SPCA and you will find an enthusiastic, cheery boy ready to find a forever home. Just a few weeks ago though, he was a mangled, injured mess and in a state of shock. A man who drives a trash-collecting truck alerted us about a little brown dog under a dumpster. His injuries were consistent with being struck by a vehicle -- the bones in his front left leg were shattered and his jaw was broken. But he also showed signs of being attacked by another dog or coyote and he had puncture wounds across his body. We rushed him into emergency medical care. The veterinary surgeon was able to wire and repair his jaw. His leg could not be saved and it was removed. Republic is healing beautifully. He adjusted to life on three legs very quickly and he bounces about as if his past t

I am trying so hard. Please do not give up on me.

Willie is a kind, loving boy. Despite all he has been through -- abuse and repeated rejection from past owners -- he still maintains an optimistic attitude. Willie is a Labrador Retriever mix, neutered, between 6-7 years of age. His special needs surely stem from the damage done to his soul by a monster who beat him. They are as follows: 1) He is prone to becoming underweight if not given a high-calorie diet, 2) he dribbles bits of urine when fearful or especially anxious (and this is involuntary, so he must never be punished for it), and 3) he is frightened of young children. So, Willie needs a hero -- someone who will show him that humans can indeed make lifetime commitments to those they love .

They say I have magical devotion.

Image
Update: Kona was adopted on August 27th! Kona is lovely on the inside too. She is an exceptional sweetheart with a tender nature, full of love for everyone. Kona is a Labrador Retriever, spayed female, about one year of age. Besides other dogs, she is reportedly compatible with cats and kind children, plus housetrained too (provided you let her outside often enough). Kona gets excited for car rides and Kong toys (rubber toys stuffed with peanut butter or other treats). She needed us when her previous owner abandoned her.

I am not too big to curl up in your lap.

Image
Update: Lindsay was adopted on August 27th! Lindsay is a wonderful cuddler. She loves being close to you, soaking up affection and sharing her good cheer. Lindsay is a medium size Rottweiler and Shepherd mix with a delightful personality. She is spayed, 5 years of age, and debuting for adoption today. She needed us due to her previous owner's financial collapse, an innocent victim of an economy and foreclosure crisis that has left countless animals homeless and in desperate need. Please visit and ask for Lindsay by name so you can spend time with her in our adoption courtyard.

I yearn to trust you and give you my heart.

Image
Update: Dee was adopted on October 16th! Dee is a bashful little angel who desperately wants your love. But she holds back, wondering if you might scream at her, or hit her, bringing back memories she wants to forget. Dee is learning that people are capable of great kindness and we know that in a gentle home she will flourish and bloom. She is a petite Terrier mix with bright eyes, spayed female, one year young, debuting for adoption today. Dee enjoys other sweet dogs and needs regular brushing and grooming. We rescued her from another shelter.

Though I cannot see it, I know the world is an ever-more beautiful place.

Image
Update: Lilly was adopted on September 9th! Lilly enjoys gently nibbling on your fingers. She has a come a very long way, transforming from a feral cat surviving on her own on the streets to a sweet, domesticated feline who has learned that humans can be kind. Lilly is a gorgeous Tortie Point Siamese, spayed female, about 6 years of age. She is available for adoption in Nevada SPCA's Cat Condos. She has a quiet, humble, affectionate nature. Lilly is blind in both eyes, so small spaces are best for her to feel content and secure. Please be patient with her, perhaps letting her start in a little room in your home so that she can easily find her food, water, litter box, and bedding, then allow her more home access as she gains confidence. As with all cats, it is imperative she lives strictly indoors for her safety and protection. If you have a tender touch, Lilly would love to go home with you. Please visit and ask for this angel by name. Special thanks to Pet'ographique f

Please adopt me and one of my sisters so that we will have lifelong love and companionship.

Image
Update: Stanwyck and Margo Channing were adopted on or before August 28th! Holly Golightly is still available for adoption. People learning about rabbits are often surprised about how social they are with people and others of their own kind. We routinely, carefully pair up rescued bunnies so they can begin developing strong bonds with one another. This helps them gain more peace-of-mind and security, and gives them a life rich in companionship. Stanwyck (pictured here) is a baby Mini Lop who enjoys interacting with humans and rabbits. She is one of 11 Mini Lops we rescued from another shelter, all apparently related. Stanwyck would love to be adopted with one of her sisters, particularly either Holly Golightly (who looks very similar to her in coloring) or Margo Channing (who has a sleek black coat). The girls are all spayed -- all of Nevada SPCA's rabbits for adoption are spayed/neutered -- and approximately 8 months to one year of age. They delight in their daily salads of

Is it a big surprise that a dog like me barks?

Image
Update: Poppy was adopted on August 28th! Brace yourself for the superb charm of little Poppy . He is a silly, light-hearted older boy who is ready to share fun and good cheer. Poppy is a precious Shih-Tzu, neutered, 9-10 years of age, debuting for adoption today. Besides being super cute, he is well-behaved, good with small dogs (big dogs frighten him), and reportedly compatible with mature kids, plus housetrained too (with a doggie door). Please plan on regular professional grooming care for Poppy and budget accordingly. The reason he was surrendered to us by his previous owner? He "barks". So, yes, little Poppy barks and eats and sleeps and goes to the bathroom, as expected of any and all canines. Please adopt this sweetheart and show him the power of love and commitment.

Is there room for me to sleep on the bed?

Image

Bubba is a Great Dane, neutered male, coming up on 6 years of age, and he debuts for adoption today. He needed us when his previous owners moved to a home that did not allow him. Bubba is generally well-behaved, being compatible with cats and children, plus housetrained too. He reportedly will occasionally sneak food off of the counters. Great Dane knowledge and/or experience is needed for his adoption.

They say I am more beautiful than a sparkling jewel.

Image
Update: Ruby was adopted on January 31st! Ruby's personality dazzles. She is a friendly, loving girl with a very sweet nature. Though shy at first, she is warm hearted with those she knows. Ruby is a gorgeous Boxer, spayed, about 7 years of age. We rescued her from another shelter. Boxer knowledge and/or experience is preferred for her adoption. Ruby debuts for adoption today.

Perhaps I require some extra care, but I dare say I am worth it.

Image
Trevor has a dry eye condition that requires daily eye drops to help him produce tears. He was at another shelter but repeatedly overlooked due to his eyes, so we were asked to take him. Dry eye is fairly common and requires a daily routine that involves some cleaning and eye drops, but this is not difficult to do, nor time-consuming. Trevor is a warm-hearted, casual boy who prefers an easy-going lifestyle and he likes other sweet dogs. He is a Shih-Tzu, neutered male, 7 years of age, debuting today for Nevada SPCA. Besides his eye care, please plan on regular grooming care for Trevor .

The furniture and cookware got to go, but I was left behind.

Image
Update: Carlos was adopted on August 21st! Imagine Carlos' confusion and terror in watching his previous family load up the car with lamps, silverware, artwork, and books -- and then driving away without him. He is an innocent being offering unconditional devotion, yet inanimate objects were considered more valuable than him. A compassionate neighbor rescued him from the abandoned house and brought him into the safety of Nevada SPCA. Let's make sure Carlos never experiences traumatic rejection again. He is a handsome youngster, playful and excitable, sometimes goofy but always a sweetheart. He is a small Shepherd mix, neutered male, just about a year of age. Carlos enjoys other friendly dogs and will do best in a home with an active or semi-active lifestyle. Please visit Nevada SPCA and ask for him by name. He debuts for adoption today.

I need a new loving home, please.

Image
Update: Sophie was adopted on August 21st! Sophie is a humble, unassuming, mellow little lady debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA. She is a pretty Lhasa Apso, spayed, approximately 7 years of age. We rescued her from another shelter. Sophie enjoys kind people and gentle dogs, and she needs regular grooming and brushing care. We believe she will thrive best in a quiet home with a stable lifestyle routine where she can get lots of snuggling.

I am just a baby now, but I want to grow old with you.

Image
Update: Titus was adopted on August 21st! Titus is filled with tremendous zest for life! This athletic puppy is smart and curious, playful and fun-loving, and he loves children. Titus is reportedly a German Shorthair Pointer and Rottweiler mix so he is well on his way to large size. He is neutered, 5 months of age, and debuting for adoption today. He needed us when his previous family had to down-size from a house to an RV. Titus is compatible with other dogs and he is reportedly housetrained. (His previous owner said he sometimes dribbles pee when overly excited, which is not uncommon with puppies.) Please be sure to carefully puppy-proof your home and yard for his safety. Also, we believe he will do best with dog training and an active lifestyle routine.

Basset Hounds like me need good ear care.

Image

Bebe is a tri-color Basset Hound, spayed, 4 years of age, debuting for adoption today. Besides being beautiful, she is well-behaved. She enjoys other friendly dogs and she is reportedly housetrained (with a doggie door) and compatible with cats and kind children. Basset Hound knowledge and/or experience is preferred for her adoption. Bebe needed us due to her previous family's financial hardship.

Can we count on you to give us forever homes?

Image
Update 3: Squeaker was adopted on August 23rd! Update 2: Oinker was adopted on August 21st! Update: Rumbler was adopted on August 20th! We rescued these precious babies when they were just a few weeks of age, along with their mother, when their previous owner became homeless. Their mom, Shaggilicious, a sweet and beautiful Lhasa Apso and Terrier mix, was spayed and adopted earlier this month. Now her puppies -- Rumbler , a boy, and his sisters Squeaker and Oinker -- are 3 months of age, spayed/neutered too, and debuting for adoption today. They are entertaining and comical, full of pep and full of love. Please carefully puppy-proof your home and yard for their safety and protection. Rumbler, Squeaker, and Oinker can be adopted separately, but please consider adopting a pair, or the trio, for lifelong companionship.

I am bursting with joy for life!

Image
Update: Scully was adopted on August 21st! You need an active lifestyle to keep up with Scully . She is a spunky, athletic, and outgoing girl debuting for adoption today. Scully is a beautiful Jack Russell Terrier, spayed, about 5 years of age. She is generally well-behaved, being compatible with dogs and cats and older children, plus housetrained and crate-trained. But she reportedly has a mischievous streak and will sometimes sneak food from countertops or jump on visitors for attention, so basic training and your good guidance will help her channel energy into proper behaviors. Scully needed us when her previous owner's work schedule changed to include too much traveling. Scully needs plenty of daily playtime and walks. Throw a tennis ball or two for her and she will be particularly grateful.

Adopt me for giant-size love from a teacup-size angel.

Image
Update: Zena was adopted on August 20th! The best fit for Zena is a quiet, stable home. She is a very sweet, petite youngster with a gentle nature. Zena is a Teacup Chihuahua, spayed female, just one year of age. She enjoys other dogs and she is reportedly fine with older, mature kids. While reportedly experienced using a doggie door, she still has occasional accidents, so your patience and good guidance and a steady lifestyle routine will help her complete housetraining. Zena needed us when her previous owner moved to a home that did not allow pets. Zena debuts for adoption today.

I would rather cuddle with you than play with toys.

Image

Brandy is a beautiful medium size Golden Retriever mix, spayed, about 6 years of age. She is reportedly housetrained (with a doggie door), crate-trained, and fine with gentle children. Brandy reportedly enjoys male dogs, but she is not compatible with female dogs (and this is why she lost her home). Brandy debuts for adoption today.

Adopt me so that I can be your little superstar.

Image

Pugsley is a Puggle (Pug & Beagle mix), neutered, about 6 years of age, debuting for adoption today. He needed us when his previous owner moved from a house into an apartment that does not accept dogs. But Pugsley did nothing wrong. He is reportedly housetrained (with a doggie door), crate-trained, and good with mature kids. Pugsley is very picky though with other dogs and may do best as the only dog in the home.

I adore going for walks.

Update: Red Sonja was adopted on October 9th! With more socialization, Red Sonja will bloom beautifully. So she needs a patient, experienced owner who can help her gain self-esteem so that she can engage new people and new situations without fear. Red Sonja is a darling young girl, a Miniature Pinscher mix, spayed, about 2 years of age, debuting for adoption today. She likes most dogs, but she is picky about which dogs she will tolerate. If you have another dog (or dogs), always be sure to bring them to Nevada SPCA to meet the ones you are considering so we can ensure your adopted dog will be a good match for the entire family. She needed us due to her previous owner's move to an apartment that does not allow pets. Red Sonja knows how to use a doggie door, reportedly, but it is not clear whether she is fully housetrained yet, so please be ready to provide good guidance for her.

Why in the world did I get left behind?

Image

Image

Dakota is a Yellow Labrador Retriever, spayed, almost 6 years of age, debuting for adoption today. Besides other medium and large dogs, she is reportedly compatible with cats. Her previous owner said she likes to try and pick up small dogs with her mouth, but not hurt them, nevertheless it frightens them. She also reportedly travels well and enjoys playing ball. Dakota needed us when her previous owner down-sized from a house to an apartment.

If you adopt me, please be sure to keep me with you forever.

Image
Update: Desert Rose was adopted on August 21st! Desert Rose is shy with new people, but capable of tremendous warmth with those she knows and trusts. She is inquisitive and athletic, a zippy runner, but equally pleased to curl up on the couch with you and watch TV. Desert Rose is a dusty brown tabby with spots, spayed female, 2 years young. She is polydactyl -- she has extra toes that give her paws a glove-like appearance. We rescued Desert Rose when she was abandoned by her previous owner. She is one of 200 rescued, spayed/neutered cats for adoption in Nevada SPCA's free-roaming Cat Condo playrooms.

I enjoy playing ball.

Image
Leeda is 5 years of age, but often as playful as a kitten. She is an enchanting, gorgeous girl who cherishes attention. Leeda is a snow-white shorthair with lovely light green eyes. She is spayed and ready for adoption today. One of her favorite activities is chasing balls and other toys you throw for her. We rescued her from another shelter. Like all cats, Leeda needs and deserves an indoor-only home for her safety and protection. Please visit Nevada SPCA's free-roaming Cat Condo playrooms and ask for her by name.

Perhaps I am moody, but I still have enormous love to share.

Image
Failed by those he loved and trusted, over and over, maybe it is easier to understand why Scallion occasionally gets moody with people. He just may not want to put up with any more nonsense or rejection. We rescued Scallion from another shelter, so we are not sure of his background, but we think our speculation is pretty accurate. Scallion is a good-looking Shih-Tzu, neutered male, at least 7 years of age. Because he is temperamental, to err on the safe side (for dog bite prevention), he strictly requires an experienced, adult-only home. Scallion enjoys other dogs and needs regular grooming care. Please adopt him and pleasantly surprise him that humans are capable of making lifetime commitments to those they love.

People are fine, but it is other cats who I adore most.

Quark is a very special boy and will fit beautifully into just the right home. He is very nurturing and cat-oriented, and enjoys bathing and grooming other cats to share his affection. He is sweet to people, but more independent and may keep to himself if there are not other cats for him to engage. Quark is an attractive parti-colored shorthair, neutered, just a year of age. At the time of rescue he had broken back toes due to being out on the streets, but he is healed now and ready for adoption. Quark is one of 200 rescued, spayed/neutered cats for adoption today in Nevada SPCA's free-roaming Cat Condo playrooms.

You cannot blame me for wanting to be comfortable.

Meowser is quite a lovable character. If we set blankets down that are not fluffy enough for him to snuggle in, he will cry and vocalize until we replace them with softer ones. So he is training us well. Meowser is a handsome Mackerel Tabby, neutered male, about 2 years young. He needed us when his previous owner could not or would not provide medical care to help him with a simple foot injury (which is now fully healed). Meowser would love an attentive new owner, committed to him forever, and understanding of his desires to be pampered. Please visit Nevada SPCA's free-roaming Cat Condo playrooms and ask for him by name.

Can we look forward to a lifetime of commitment and kindness?

Update 2: Bling was adopted on August 20th! Update: Cashmere was adopted on August 18th! Cashmere and Bling are beautiful baby girls, sisters, debuting for adoption today. They are tender-hearted puppies with loving natures. Cashmere and Bling are lovely blends of multiple breeds, perhaps including Shepherd & Retriever, expected to grow to large size. They are spayed and approximately 3 months of age. Please carefully puppy-proof your home and yard for their safety and protection. The girls can be adopted separately, but please consider adopting them together for lifelong love and companionship. They needed us when their previous owner had an "oops" litter, rescued in exchange for him getting their momma spayed.

We are sister and brother, and also soul-mates.

Note: Zoey & Riley were adopted on December 24th! Zoey & Riley needed us when their previous owner lost the family home to foreclosure. They are quiet-natured siblings with very warm hearts for those they know and trust. Zoey & Riley are Chihuahuas, spayed/neutered, just under 5 years of age. They debut for adoption today. (Zoey, on the left, has a diamond on her forehead. Her brother Riley has one cute floppy ear.) Besides being sister and brother, they are soul-mates and need to remain together forever. We have discounted their adoption fees in order to encourage a caring person, couple, or family to consider adopting the pair. Zoey & Riley are also well-behaved. Besides being compatible with other dogs, they are reportedly housetrained and good with cats and kind children.
