Godiva, rescued from starvation, needs a foster home and hero.

A foster home and foster hero needed please.

Godiva has wonderfully gained almost 6 pounds since this photo was taken on the day of her rescue a couple of weeks ago!

She has been hospitalized since then, getting IV fluids.  Her blood tests have been encouraging, despite her diabetes.

Because of her progress and her insulin levels are now stable with twice-daily shots, the veterinarians say Godiva is now ready for a foster home to continue her recovery.  Godiva needs to safely and steadily gain an additional 15 pounds or so before she is ready for adoption.

She is an incredibly sweet Bully mix, 1 year of age, and her tail always wagged when we sat with her and comforted her, even when she was too weak to want to lift her head.

If you can foster Godiva for several weeks and give her insulin shots, please visit Nevada SPCA before 4pm and ask for DJ at the front desk.
