Wishbone

Image
Wishbone , 12, is a heartbroken Dachshund who needs someone to love.  He is docile, good with other dogs, and neutered. The sooner we can place him in a wonderful home, the better, to curb his depression. Please visit Nevada SPCA and ask for Wishbone . He can be adopted or fostered, and he needs insulin shots every 12 hours (diabetes). Please help find a hero for Wishbone .

I was fading away and thought all hope was lost.

Please help us find Casey a hero.  She was near death at the time of rescue. Her previous owners said she had stopped eating for 4 weeks and they could not afford to take her to a veterinarian.  We had her hospitalized and discovered Casey had diabetes. Now getting twice-daily shots of insulin, she is eating heartily and regaining her strength and will to live.  Casey is exceptionally gentle and she loves tender belly rubs. She is a petite medium-hair tabby, about 13 years of age, and ready for adoption (or long-term foster care) at Nevada SPCA.  Casey loves people and other cats. She asks for so little -- just kindness and dignity.

Will you let me be your greatest admirer?

Buddy would love to be your most devoted, gentle companion.  He looks at you, his eyes full of love and admiration, and he softly talks with you throughout the day as he listens to your thoughts and feelings.  Buddy is a 16-pound sweetheart, 13 years of age, a neutered boy, debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA. His form of diabetes is managed well with a special diet -- which will be supplied to his adopter in abundance -- instead of insulin shots.  Buddy needed us due to his previous owners' declining health.  Please help him find a hero for his twilight years.

Godiva is recovering from near starvation and needs a hero.

Foster home needed please!  Godiva , a Bully mix rescued earlier this month from starvation, needs a new foster home for continuing tender loving care and recovery.  Her previous foster mom did a beautiful job with her, helping her gain more than 5 pounds in just the past two weeks.  Godiva has now gained 11 pounds since her rescue (31 pounds to 42 pounds)!  She is standing up better, wagging her tail every time she sees a familiar face, and beginning to give us some smiles.  Perhaps due in part to her near death from extreme emaciation, Godiva is diabetic and requires daily insulin shots.  If you can foster Godiva , please visit Nevada SPCA today before 5pm and ask for DJ.  Thank you in advance for sharing this post to help Godiva find a hero.

Godiva, rescued from starvation, needs a foster home and hero.

A foster home and foster hero needed please.  Godiva has wonderfully gained almost 6 pounds since this photo was taken on the day of her rescue a couple of weeks ago! She has been hospitalized since then, getting IV fluids.  Her blood tests have been encouraging, despite her diabetes.  Because of her progress and her insulin levels are now stable with twice-daily shots, the veterinarians say Godiva is now ready for a foster home to continue her recovery.  Godiva needs to safely and steadily gain an additional 15 pounds or so before she is ready for adoption.  She is an incredibly sweet Bully mix, 1 year of age, and her tail always wagged when we sat with her and comforted her, even when she was too weak to want to lift her head. If you can foster Godiva for several weeks and give her insulin shots, please visit Nevada SPCA before 4pm and ask for DJ at the front desk.
