Liza triumphantly debuting for adoption today!

Many of you will remember this past summer when a 10-day-old blind baby was found clinging to a storm drain. A couple walking their dog after the rainstorm discovered her and saved her from being washed away and drowned. Her face was covered by an enormous scab of infection (our photo is too graphic to post), resulting in the loss of her right eye and partial destruction of her left eye.

Sonja, her foster mom, named her Liza, and nurtured her with remarkably tender care. Liza's desperate will to live was evident in many ways, including how she grasped her bottle.

Liza is now 4 months of age, spayed, and ready for adoption at Nevada SPCA. More than anything, she loves being held and cuddled. A gentle, reassuring touch means everything to her.

Liza is fearless at times. A special room with low-standing surfaces may continue to be ideal. She sometimes climbs up cat trees or onto sofas or beds, but then needs your help once she reaches the top. Please only consider her if you can set aside enormous amounts of quality snuggling time with her daily.
