We were elated when this angel had the light back in his eyes, when he could hold up his head on his own, and when his tail began to wag.

The victim of extreme starvation, at the time of rescue his life was in imminent peril.  After a week of emergency hospitalization care and fluids, and months of subsequent recovery at Nevada SPCA (www.nevadaspca.org), the boy we named Lionheart nearly tripled his weight and bloomed into a social, cheerful boy full of joy and curiosity.

Lionheart is a Yorkshire Terrier mix, neutered, 5 years of age, debuting for adoption today.

CAUTION: His "before" pictures are very disturbing.

But we want to share Lionheart's success with you and ask for your help in finding him a loving, forever home.
