Huge Thanksgiving Adoption Special at Nevada SPCA!

In the spirit of tremendous appreciation to all of you who support animal rescue and adoption, this is our biggest-ever adoption special.

Through Friday at 5pm, the adoption fees on all ADULT animals at Nevada SPCA are discounted as follows:

75% off rabbits, hamsters, gerbils, guinea pigs
50% off cats
25% off dogs

[The discounts on adoption fees for adult animals are taken off these standard adoption fees: $35 for single rabbits and $50 for a bonded pair of bunnies, $5 for hamsters and gerbils, $10 for guinea pigs, $40 for cats, and dogs range from $75 to $150.  All rabbits, cats, and dogs are spayed/neutered.]

Despite the economic crisis, your help with spreading the word about animals awaiting adoptions has resulted in a record-setting year for Nevada SPCA's adoptions.  Thank you!  Forwarding the animals' pictures and stories to your friends, family, and co-workers is making a lifesaving difference for thousands of homeless animals.

This week, Nevada SPCA is open Monday through Wednesday, 11am-4pm, closed on Thursday for Thanksgiving, and open on Friday and Saturday from 11am-5pm.  This adoption special ends at 5pm on Friday.  We hope to see you this week!

Twinkie is the tiniest of dogs -- only 3 pounds! -- but he has enormous unconditional love to share with you.  He is a super cute, super sweet Yorkshire Terrier, neutered boy, 10 years of age, debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.  Another shelter asked us to rescue Twinkie because of his dental needs.  We had his teeth cleaned and he is now ready for a forever home.  An experienced home is required for his safety due to his exceptionally small size.

We are Cocker Spaniel & Scottish Terrier mix puppies now ready for adoption into loving, forever homes.

Anna Beanie Little Eric Michelle Nicholas Sisters Anna and Michelle , and their brothers Beanie , Little Eric , and Nicholas , are very affectionate babies who love giving you kisses. We rescued their pregnant mother, a Cocker Spaniel named Mary Poppins from a government-funded shelter.  She had reportedly been bred with a Scottish Terrier.  We placed Mary Poppins in a loving foster home and she gave birth to these five angels and raised them there. Mary Poppins is going to be adopted by her foster family.  Her puppies are now 3 months of age, spayed/neutered, and ready for adoption. Please carefully puppy-proof your home and yard for their safety and protection.

Update 2: Jellybean was adopted on November 11th! Update: Licorice was adopted on November 9th! Licorice and Jellybean , brother and sister, are nicknamed " The Sweet Candy Puppies " due to their affectionate, adorable temperaments. They are most likely Retriever mixes and may grow to medium or large size. They are spayed/neutered, approximately 3 months of age, and they debut for adoption today at Nevada SPCA. The Sweet Candy Puppies were rescued after being found abandoned on the streets. Jellybean was injured with a hairline fracture in her right rear leg. We had her leg treated and it had been bandaged and she was resting for nearly a month. She recovered beautifully. Licorice and Jellybean can be adopted separately, but please consider adopting them together for lifelong love and companionship. They are terrific together!
