Nevada SPCA Animal Rescue

We find Raeley's pleading eyes irresistible and we're promising her that she will soon be in a wonderful, loving, indoor-only home.  Raeley is great with other cats and favors balls of yarn for toys.  She is a beautiful, petite brown tabby, still a kitten at 8 months of age, spayed, and now ready for adoption at Nevada SPCA.  She needed us when her previous owners decided they had "too many cats". Magee & McFee are athletic, fun baby boys who enjoy chasing laser lights and playing hide-and-seek.  They are cute shorthair kittens, 3 months of age, now neutered and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.  Since their rescue as newborns they have been lovingly raised and socialized in a foster home.  The brothers are curious about everything and get along well with other cats.  Please kitten-proof your home for their safety.

Jane Layla Jane & Layla are baby girls who were found scavenging on the streets to try and survive. The sisters are now 5 months of age, spayed, in much better condition, and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.  Both Jane & Layla are docile and have affectionate temperaments.  Please kitten-proof your home for their safety. They are exceptional together, so though we don't generally require kittens to be adopted in pairs, our strong preference is to keep these sisters together forever. Donnie promises a lifetime of entertainment and tremendous companionship in exchange for adoption into a loving, forever home.  He is an outgoing, playful kitten who adores people and cats.  Donnie has princely good looks, as he is a black & white medium-hair with wisps of charcoal grey on his mane and tail.  Donnie is 9 months of age, neutered, and ready for adoption in the free-roaming Cat Condo playrooms at Nevada SPCA.

Katlyn, momma Chloe, Clarissa, and Crystal, sisters Clark and Carter, brothers Katlyn and her babies have been in a loving foster home for 10 weeks preparing for this special day -- their adoption debut day. Katlyn's previous owner said "she keeps getting out and getting pregnant".  At the time of rescue Katlyn's five kittens were just newborns, about 2 weeks old, and their eyes were still closed. The kittens were in delicate health and Katlyn was traumatized.  We rushed them into foster care and within days their foster mom succeeded in winning Katlyn's trust and the kittens were stable. Things are looking up for Barbara .  Her previous owner passed away and the surviving family chose not to keep her.  But Pet'ographique has just taken this gorgeous new portrait to help her attract someone kind and compassionate.  Barbara loves to be in your lap.  She is a long-hair torbie tabby, about 4 years of age, spayed, and ready for adoption at Nevada SPCA.

After being abandoned, Corky pleaded for food from house to house throughout his neighborhood, relying on the kindness of strangers to stay alive.   Now, this handsome, distinguished boy is safe with us and never having to worry whether he will miss a meal.  Pet'ographique captured his sweet spirit wonderfully in this brand new portrait.    Corky is neutered, about 8 years of age, great with other cats, and ready for adoption at Nevada SPCA.

Betty Bubbles is a light-hearted, dainty, and petite girl when it comes to soaking up affection from you.  But when it's time to patrol the house (or engage in adventurous play-time), she is all serious business and courageous as she undertakes her missions and explores rooms for intruders.  Betty Bubbles is a shorthair beauty, about 4 years of age, spayed, great with other cats, debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.  We rescued this sweetheart from another shelter.

Sizzling Sammy loves to chat with you, follow you around, and rub against your legs.  Watching "Cat TV" -- observing the birds through the window -- gives him enormous pleasure.  He is a big, cuddly brown tabby, 6 years of age, neutered, ready to fill your heart with love.  Please visit Nevada SPCA and ask to meet Sizzling Sammy by name.

There is so much to love about Teddy .  He is playful, smart, and inquisitive, and when you talk with him he looks at you earnestly so that he can try to understand every word.  Teddy is a young Shepherd & Retriever mix with gorgeous golden brown coloring, neutered, 1 year of age, good with cats and dogs, and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.  Teddy is understandably nervous about cars.  He was witnessed being thrown from a moving car in front of a business.  We will loan his adopter a crate so he can be taken home safely and comfortably.

Amanda is a polite, demure little lady who will thrive in a calm home environment. She is a gorgeous medium-hair with emerald eyes, spayed, about 7 years of age. Omar Shariff had been abandoned at the airport parking lot.  He was so hungry and scared that he crawled right into the car of a Nevada SPCA volunteer with just a bit of coaxing.  He has been fattening up in a loving foster home and becoming socialized with other friendly cats.  Omar Shariff is now ready for adoption at Nevada SPCA.  He is a sleek shorthair, neutered boy, 4 years of age.  Please be sure to ask for him by name.

At the time of rescue Roxy was missing her front right leg and her left eye was so severely infected that it could not be saved.  But Roxy's loving spirit keeps her focused on the present and she is happy to be alive and full of devotion.  Cuddle with Roxy while you read a book or watch a movie and she is in heaven.  Roxy is a Miniature Pinscher, spayed girl, about 4 years of age, housetrained, good with cats & dogs & older kids, debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.  Roxy needed us when her previous owners divorced.

Madame Butterfly is a very gentle older girl who just wants to be loved.  She looks up at us in gratitude, seemingly full of hope that her future will be brighter than her past.  Madame Butterfly is a Violet Point Siamese, spayed, about 10 years of age, previously declawed, debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.  Madame Butterfly had been abandoned in a foreclosed home and found in a very poor, neglected condition.  We had her severe matts shaved away and expect her coat to grow back beautifully now that she's eating premium food.

Festive and radiant, Sandy is blessed with a beautifully unique appearance and cheery personality. She is a Basset Hound & Collie mix, just 2 years of age, spayed, and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA. Sandy loves kids and adults.  She is good with dogs and reportedly compatible with cats too.  She needs your kind guidance to complete housetraining.  (Her previous owner admitted to making her exclusively outdoors, which is unacceptable.)  She needs to live predominantly indoors as a cherished member of the family.

Blackjack is a devoted sweetheart who needed us when his previous owner passed away and he had nowhere to go. Blackjack is a large, sleek shorthair, neutered, about 7 years of age, debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA. We believe cats should live indoors only for their safety and protection, and this is especially critical with Blackjack , who was previously declawed. Blackjack is best as the only cat in the home. Please ask for him specifically by name when you visit.

Crystal relishes being held and comforted.  She is a docile girl who just wants to know she belongs in this world and that she is loved.  Crystal is a sandy brown tabby, about 5 years of age, spayed, and now ready for adoption at Nevada SPCA (www.nevadaspca.org).  Crystal's left eye has natural, beautiful speckles that do not impair her vision.  We found her in an abandoned crate.

Poppy is gorgeous, shy, and intelligent, and she likes to play fetch.  Her previous owner insisted she is a rare breed -- an Alapaha Blue Blood Bulldog -- and bred her for puppies.  Now with us, and spayed, she will be a loving companion and family member, not a breeding machine.  Poppy is about 18 months young and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.  She is reportedly housetrained, crate-trained, and good with cats and dogs, but intolerant of young kids.
