The ultimate truth for all of us is that every day is precious.

Update: Porscha was adopted on January 9th!

Porscha
loves life with all of her heart.

You can see her whole body wiggle with enthusiasm every time she gets a hug or anticipates playtime.

She is a Dalmatian & Retriever mix, medium-sized, spayed, and 10-11 years of age.

We rescued Porscha earlier this year from another shelter where she did not qualify for adoption (because of her older age).

Surprisingly, this angel keeps getting overlooked. She has watched thousands of other dogs get adopted into loving homes, but her knight in shining armor has still not yet showed up for her.

After her rescue we found several lumps on Porscha's underside. We had them removed at a local veterinary clinic and they were cancerous. Her veterinarian though believes all of the cancer was removed, however, as you know, there is no guarantee that a trace was not left behind or that growths will not form again.

On the other hand, Porscha may be free of cancer for the rest of her life.

The focus must be, like with all of us, on her quality of life, staying comfortable and enjoying love and daily pleasures.

Porscha adores kind, gentle people. She can get grumpy with other dogs, so she may do best being the only pet in the home.
