I wish someone would understand me.

Update: Rusty was adopted on February 10th!

Generally mild-mannered, Rusty is sweet, usually easy-going, and very handsome.

He is a red tabby & white shorthair, neutered male, approximately 2 years young.

Please visit and ask for Rusty by name in The Sweetheart Suites (two of the free-roaming Cat Condo playrooms at Nevada SPCA).

Like many cats, Rusty does small bites ("lovebites") when over-stimulated. (This can occur during brushing, when the doorbell rings, if a dog begins barking loudly, etc.) Lovebites may also come if he gets grumpy from being held too long, cornered, or when feeling anxious.

Rusty needed rescue when his owner dumped him for being "too aggressive" -- however, we have yet to witness any such behaviors here.

We believe an experienced, patient, adult-only home will suit him well. His independence and limitations need to be respected and understood.

Endearing and engaging, Rusty has much to offer the person or couple who open their hearts and home to him.
