We are each little miracles.

Update 5: Reeses was adopted on October 21st!

Update: One of the five puppies, Snickers, was adopted on October 10th!

Milky Way is one of five adorable puppies who we rescued in August.

They were huddled under their mother in a drawer. (Diana, their mother, has since been spayed and adopted.)

All five had birth defects to their rear legs, ranging from minor to severe, and had difficulty walking.

As sweet as they come, the staff named these tiny babies after candy bars. Kit Kat, Reeses, and Twix are girls. Milky Way and Snickers are boys.

We refer to them as "The Candy Bar Crew."

They are most likely Chihuahua & Dachshund mixes. They are now spayed/neutered, 3 months of age, and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.

Astonishingly, during their 8 weeks in foster care, they have naturally grown to normalcy, or near normalcy, and all can now walk and function very well.

Please understand though that their rear legs may never be completely normal and may require future care, so budget and plan accordingly, and maintain a regular relationship with a trusted veterinarian for any future guidance needed.

The Candy Bar Crew puppies can be adopted separately. We hope you will consider adopting a pair for lifetime companionship.
