Update: Mistletoe was adopted on December 27th! Mistletoe is a precious baby girl, a Jack Russell Terrier puppy of 7 months, with tremendous loving potential. Her heart is pure gold, she is full of energy, and she is learning to trust humans again. The background on Mistletoe that we received was that she was bred for sale by a local backyard breeder.  She was sold as a very young puppy, but then taken back from the purchaser because he was abusing and mistreating her.  The breeder then brought her to Nevada SPCA because she was 'too old' to sell again. We had Mistletoe spayed and she debuts for adoption today. She enjoys other sweet dogs and needs a patient owner who will help her continue her emotional recovery from the abuse.  Lots of daily playtime and a stable lifestyle routine will go far in letting her feel safe and secure. As we always need to mention with pups, please carefully puppy-proof your home and yard for her safety and protection.

We are each little miracles.

Update 5: Reeses was adopted on October 21st! Update 4: Milky Way was adopted on October 15th! Update 3: Kit Kat was adopted on October 14th! Update 2: Twix was adopted on October 12th! Update: One of the five puppies, Snickers, was adopted on October 10th! Milky Way is one of five adorable puppies who we rescued in August. They were huddled under their mother in a drawer. (Diana, their mother, has since been spayed and adopted.) All five had birth defects to their rear legs, ranging from minor to severe, and had difficulty walking. As sweet as they come, the staff named these tiny babies after candy bars. Kit Kat, Reeses, and Twix are girls. Milky Way and Snickers are boys. We refer to them as " The Candy Bar Crew ." They are most likely Chihuahua & Dachshund mixes. They are now spayed/neutered, 3 months of age, and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA. Astonishingly, during their 8 weeks in foster care, they have naturally grown to normalcy, or near normalcy...
