Patti , 10, improving daily, yearns to know what a loving home feels like.  She is a Lhasa Apso & Toy mix, good with other dogs, spayed girl, ready for adoption today at Nevada SPCA .  Patti was found in an abandoned apartment in horrific condition (matted coat, extended belly, emotional distress).  She is now cleaned and groomed, eating premium foods, and her belly swelling has reduced with daily heart medication.  Please help find a hero for Patti .

Bellagio & Mary , soul-mates, a well-behaved pair, ask for a loving home where they can remain together forever. They needed us when their previous owners moved away without them.    Bellagio is a boy, a Labrador Retriever, 8 years of age. Mary is a girl, a Toy mix, 10 years of age.    Both are spayed/neutered, housetrained, good with dogs and kids, and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA .

Fabian calms around gentle people. A peaceful home environment with a steady lifestyle routine is ideal for this sensitive young boy. The circumstances of his escalating anxiety in his previous home are unclear. He was reportedly treated for severe canine depression at one point. Deep in the desert, miles from any small towns, two men spotted Petey . He was terrified and running with nowhere to go. The men determined to catch and save him. It took an hour and they eventually won his trust and brought him to safety. Abigail likes giving you doggie kisses when you talk sweet. She is adjusting fine to life on 3 legs. At the time of rescue she was at another shelter with a hind leg maimed and broken beyond repair (from massive unknown trauma). Misty , 2, is confused by what people expect of her.  She yearns for someone gentle who won't demand her to act contrary to her nature. Misty's previous owners were reportedly trying to make her "a guard dog". We don't know what this petite, slender, 12-pound girl endured.    Misty is a Longhair Chihuahua & Toy mix, good with other dogs, housetrained & crate-trained, and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.    We rescued her from another shelter that asked for our help due to her timidity and sadness.

Lilac is an earnest young girl trying to figure out where she belongs.  She's been hurt and trust does not come easily to her.  Lilac is a Longhaired Dachshund & Toy mix, 3 years of age, good with cats and dogs, now spayed and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.  Please be very patient and understanding with her.

Vanessa is happiest cuddling in your arms and hearing you tell her how sweet she is.  She is an adorable baby girl, a Toy & Chihuahua mix, 3 months of age, good with other dogs, now spayed and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.  Please puppy-proof your home and yard for her safety. Vanessa was found on the streets with no sign of responsible ownership (no microchip ID, no ID tags, not spayed).

Buffy , bubbly and irresistible, is a vibrant baby girl with a playful spirit.    She is a Miniature Schnauzer & Toy mix, 6 months of age, now spayed and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA. Buffy is housetrained, crate-trained, and good with dogs and mature kids.    Her previous owner surrendered her and cited "no room" for her as the reason.    Please visit and ask for Buffy by name.

Monroe , 2, at the time of rescued from another shelter, was so painfully matted that he didn't want to be touched. Further, his vision was completely obstructed by knotted tangles crusted over his face. We shaved Monroe and discovered the warmest, wisest eyes! He is a 12-pound blend of Poodle, Terrier, and Toy breeds, neutered, good with other dogs, and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.    Now that the knots are gone he is less afraid of being touched. Monroe is shy and likes being with soft-spoken, gentle people.

Just arrived and in need of a nurturing foster home please. Cheryl and her 4-week-old babies, Stephen and Susanne , need a foster home for approximately 2 months. If you can foster them, please visit Nevada SPCA in person and ask for DJ. Cheryl is a Toy mix and the father of the babies is unknown. They were surrendered by a woman who was watching them for a friend, who then never returned for them. Cheryl is a good mom and loves being around people. Bert & Ernie are a fun, strongly-bonded pair needing a loving, forever home.  Both boys are housetrained & crate-trained, good with dogs & cats & older kids, neutered, 6 years of age, and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.  Bert is a Pug mix and Ernie is a Toy mix. Bert can get fussy, especially with strangers, so an experienced home is needed please.  The boys were surrendered by their previous owner who said he had "too many dogs".

Loki beams with hope and good cheer.    He believes in people with all of his heart and wants someone to love. Loki is young at heart at 12 years of age, a Papillon & Toy mix, neutered boy, debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.    He is good with dogs and housetrained (pads).    Loki needed us due to his previous owner's financial hardship.

Skyler was terrified and exceptionally reserved at the time of rescue.  But thanks to patience and kindness from volunteers and staff during the past several weeks, he is gaining self-esteem and blooming.  Skyler is a delightful young Toy & Chihuahua mix, 1 year of age, now neutered and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.  He is great with other dogs and sports the cutest smiles.  A gentle, stable home will help Skyler continue making progress toward reaching his full loving potential.

Darian, July 10 Darian, just hours after his rescue It was one of the hottest days ever in Las Vegas, mid-afternoon, in the peak heat of the day.  A person noticed a small "ragged" dog panting heavily under a bush just outside a fast food restaurant. We got on the phone with the acting manager of the restaurant and pleaded with her to bring the dog inside until we could send someone.  She was very hesitant, worried the dog had rabies and bugs, but eventually agreed and put him in a box just inside the front door. A Nevada SPCA staff member retrieved him, gave him water and helped him cool and stabilize.  She then took him to a veterinary hospital for continuing care.  His ears and body were covered in ticks, leading the veterinary staff to speculate that he may have originally come from an area outside of southern Nevada. Now, several days later, Darian is groomed, neutered, and eating premium, probiotic dog food.  He can't believe all the attenti...

Bjork is a precious baby girl debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA. She is incredibly cute and affectionate, a small Toy & Terrier mix, about 9 months of age and now spayed.  Please puppy-proof your home for her safety and protection. Bjork is terrific with other dogs.  She is one of a group of puppies mysteriously found together on the streets, none with any sign whatsoever of responsible ownership (all are safe, rescued).  We suspect Bjork needs basic training, so an experienced home is best for her, ideally with at least one other dog for her to bond with as a big sister or big brother.

Nala is an exceptionally kind young girl with an endearing personality and she triumphantly debuts for adoption today at Nevada SPCA. She was at another shelter that asked for our help because of multiple injuries from an unknown cause, which included trauma to her left ear drum, a broken tooth, and a leg wound.  We rescued Nala and had her injuries treated and she is recovering beautifully, both physically and emotionally.  Nala is a Toy & Terrier mix, 1 year of age, spayed, good with other dogs, and best with gentle people.  Please help us find her a loving, forever home where she never experiences violence again.

Bobbin is a bashful young boy with a gentle nature and he debuts for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.  He is a cute Toy mix, 3 years of age, neutered, and good with other dogs.  We rescued Bobbin from another shelter to treat his ear infection and shave away the matted knots resulting from long-term neglect.  He doesn't know he is safe yet -- as you can see by looking in his eyes -- but we are working on his emotional recovery too.  Bobbin needs a calm home environment with a stable routine where he will be showered with affection.

We find Rocco to be a remarkably endearing boy.  He is thoughtful and humble, and just so relieved to be cared for and treated respectfully.  He was so severely neglected that another shelter asked for our help.  We rescued Rocco , and underneath all of the tangled and dirty hair, once cleaned up and shaved, was the super sweetie you see now.  Rocco debuts for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.  He is a Toy & Terrier mix, under 2 years young, neutered boy, and he is great with other dogs.  We want to find him a terrific, stable home where he is showered with adoration.

Zappa is a zany, unbelievably adorable baby boy debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.  He is most likely a blend of Poodle and a few other Toy breeds and we expect him to remain small.  Zappa is now 4 months of age and neutered.  He loves snuggling with you and he gets along well with other dogs.  Please plan and budget for regular professional grooming. Zappa was rescued from an abusive home.  We want to find him a forever home full of love where people do not communicate through screaming, yelling, and hitting.
