Monroe

Monroe, 2, at the time of rescued from another shelter, was so painfully matted that he didn't want to be touched. Further, his vision was completely obstructed by knotted tangles crusted over his face.

We shaved Monroe and discovered the warmest, wisest eyes!

He is a 12-pound blend of Poodle, Terrier, and Toy breeds, neutered, good with other dogs, and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.

Now that the knots are gone he is less afraid of being touched. Monroe is shy and likes being with soft-spoken, gentle people.
