Promise to spend quality playtime with me every day, please.

Samuel Adams is a young, very handsome Harlequin & Lop mix bunny ready for adoption at Nevada SPCA in the Lovebugs Room.  He loves exploring rooms and having freedom to roam, so please use baby gates to keep him away from electrical cords and stairs during his daily playtime.  Samuel Adams is 2 years of age, neutered, and very friendly.  He needed us when his previous owner moved away without him. Special thanks to Pet'ographique for this very attractive portrait to help him find a loving, indoor-only, forever home.

Morrissey would love to leap into your life and loving home.

Image
Morrissey's outgoing personality and very handsome appearance has been captured wonderfully in these beautiful portraits courtesy of Pet'ographique.   While adventurous, Morrissey likes to get completely relaxed for his naps, stretching his body out on his bunny condo loft.  Morrissey is a Lop & Lionhead mix rabbit, neutered boy, 2 years young, ready for adoption in Nevada SPCA's Lovebugs Room. We rescued Morrissey after his previous owner abandoned him in the middle of the night on a sidewalk.

Doesn't every home need a princess?

Image
The jeweled crown Pet'ographique included in Phoebe's portrait fits this princess beautifully.  She asks only to be adored and loved. Phoebe is a Lop-Eared Silver Martin bunny, spayed girl, 7-9 years of age, with a gentle soul. She hopes for a compassionate home for her twilight years and she gets along well with other calm rabbits. Please ask for Phoebe by name in Nevada SPCA's Lovebugs Room.

My heart is as soft as my fur.

We love Busby Berkeley's placid demeanor. Gentle and content, he adores attention from kind people. Busby Berkeley is a handsome Lop, neutered boy, about 18 months young. Besides his daily salad greens, he fancies shredded wheat treats (which are safe when natural and not coated in sugar). He needed us when his previous family surrendered him without explanation. Please ask for Busby Berkeley by name in Nevada SPCA's Lovebugs Room.

I need to be indoors to be safe and cherished as a member of your family.

Update: Rudyard was adopted on November 15th! Rudyard is an endearing young boy with the cutest ears, one that flops and the other alert and erect. He is most likely an American and Lop mix rabbit, about one year of age.  We had him neutered and he is ready for adoption today. We rescued him and three other bunnies from what we believed to be a backyard breeder situation. Despite all of the homeless domesticated rabbits in our community, there are breeders unconscionably producing even more, some for Easter sales gimmicks and some for food for giant snakes or other large animals. But Rudyard is a gentle, sweet, loving boy and he certainly does not want to become someone's meal.   He wants a loving, forever home, just like all other domesticated companion animals. Rudyard likes perching on his loft -- our bunny condos have loft ledges and we can show you how to make these at home -- peacefully enjoying his new safety. Please visit our new Lovebugs Room, which sho...

My dream is to belong in a loving, committed family.

Update: Astoria was adopted on November 8th! Though all of the rescued animals at Nevada SPCA love dinner-time and snacks, Astoria's enthusiasm for good food suggests that meal times for her are akin to how children anticipate trips to Disneyland. Forget a bowl -- she jubilantly pulls the carrots, parsley, celery, and Romaine lettuce right from our hands. And we are so happy to provide nutritious food and joy for her.  We rescued her from another shelter and our guess is that she was previously in a home where she was only fed pellets.  Timothy hay though, and fresh daily greens, are supposed to make up the majority of a bunny's diet, not pellets. Astoria is a gorgeous Lop and Chinchilla mix rabbit, spayed, about 2 years young.  You can meet and adopt her in our new Lovebugs Room, which showcases bunnies, guinea pigs, gerbils, hamsters, and other small rescued animals for adoption. Like all domesticated rabbits in our desert climate, Astoria needs an indoor-onl...

Adopt a blond bombshell into your life.

Jayne Mansfield's improvement has been tremendous. This once meek, unsocialized girl is now bold and beautiful, accepting that people can be enjoyed. She is a blond Lop rabbit, spayed, 4 years of age. Jayne Mansfield was surrendered to us by her previous owners who just said they no longer wanted to care for an animal. The success of our rescue programs is in finding compassionate people with nurturing natures, as opposed to those who are self-absorbed and unable to take responsibility for dependents. Jayne Mansfield is ready today to start a new life in a committed, forever home. Please ask for her by name in our new Lovebugs adoption room for rabbits, guinea pigs, gerbils, and hamsters.

Adopt me and add a lifelong bundle of love into your heart.

Update: Darwin was adopted on August 21st! Darwin is one of the most affectionate rabbits we have ever rescued. Rub him gently behind the ears and you will probably get a kiss from him. Unlike most bunnies, Darwin enjoys being held. Darwin is a snow white Lop, neutered male, about 2 years of age. He needed us when his previous owner surrendered him (saying he just did not want him anymore). But Darwin's love lasts forever, so it is very important you only consider him (or any other companion animal) if you can make a lifelong commitment to him. Darwin is one of 90 rescued, spayed/neutered rabbits for adoption at Nevada SPCA. Please visit and ask for him by name.

I love to play ball.

Update: Snuffleupagus was adopted on July 10th! Dashingly handsome Snuffleupagus has a plastic ball he enjoys rolling around. He likes the calmer moments too, easy-going overall and content to be in your kind presence. Snuffleupagus is reportedly an Angora and Lop mix. He is neutered and about 3 years young. He needed us because his previous family said they just did not want to care for him anymore. Snuffleupagus is one of almost 90 rescued, spayed/neutered rabbits for adoption at Nevada SPCA. Please visit and ask for him by name.

I am a blondish bombshell full of surprises.

A plump, curvaceous belle, Mae West is all charm. Though she often has a quiet personality, enjoying her beauty rest, she can shimmy with the best of them when joyful. Mae West is most likely an English Spot and Lop mix, spayed female, about 3 years young. She is a very friendly girl when she warms up to you. We believe Mae West is a good candidate to bond with a male bunny (neutered, of course), so please visit with the staff about a meet-and-greet here at the headquarters. She is one of 70 rescued, spayed/neutered rabbits for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.

I am full of love, but they said I was a nuisance.

Bardot is a fitting name for this young lady with superstar good looks. She is a Lop rabbit with Chinchilla markings, spayed, about 18 months of age. Bardot also has a beautiful temperament and humble personality. Her previous owner surrendered her and said that caring for her was "too much work". But Bardot does not appear to have any special needs. She is an exceptionally sweet girl who will fit in well in a loving, committed, indoor-only home. She is one of more than 60 rescued, spayed/neutered rabbits for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.

I can bring a ton of sweetness into your life.

Update: Lydia was adopted on January 16th! Prettier than a painting, Lydia is a calm spirit, glowing with tenderness. She is a gorgeous Lop rabbit, spayed female, just over a year of age. Lydia enjoys spending time with kind people. Like many (if not most) bunnies, she is anxious about being held and picked-up, so sitting with her on the floor is ideal. Lydia needed us because her previous owner said there was a family member allergic to her. Lydia is ready for adoption today. She is one of more than 60 rescued, spayed/neuter rabbits awaiting their forever, indoor-only homes at Nevada SPCA.

I am a big, gentle Lop rabbit who needs a new loving home.

Update: Portsmouth was adopted on November 25th! Portsmouth loves to stretch out and get as cozy and relaxed as possible. We have homemade "rabbit condos" made by volunteers which are expansive and suited for his large size. (They are simple and inexpensive to build and the staff can show you how.) Portsmouth has a calm demeanor and he is affectionate, but anxious if you hold him for too long. He is a Lop rabbit, neutered male, approximately 2 years young. Portsmouth was abandoned in a carrier without a note, much less food or water, so thankfully we discovered him in time to save his life. Portsmouth is one of almost 70 spayed/neutered, rescued bunnies for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.

Now it's my turn for a loving new home.

Update: Katarina was adopted on October 9th! Katarina somehow kept her five babies alive outdoors until a caring person discovered them in a backyard and brought them to us for safety. A domesticated bunny, she had little chance to keep herself alive outdoors for any length of time, much less her newborns. Katarina's five babies were spayed and neutered and adopted earlier this summer. Now, it's her turn for a loving, lifelong home. Katarina is a gorgeous Lop rabbit. She is spayed and about two years young. She has a gentle nature and easygoing personality. While she enjoys people, she only likes to be handled for short periods of time. Katarina is one of almost 70 spayed/neutered bunnies for adoption today at Nevada SPCA. Each needs and deserves a safe, proper, indoor lifestyle with a committed person, couple, or family.

I am a gentle girl and I only ask to be loved and cared for properly.

Update: Madame Butterfly was adopted on January 25th! Madame Butterfly is a gorgeous young lady named for an opera and novel, but she is far from being a diva. She has a calm, easy-going personality and she is undemanding. Her gorgeous blue eyes seem full of great serenity and wisdom. Madame Butterfly is most likely a Lop and Chinchilla mix bunny, spayed, and approximately 2 years young. She is recovering well from severe neglect, though she still needs to trim up more, safely and with regular veterinary monitoring. She cherishes her daily greens and Timothy hay. Keeping her on good quality foods is a necessity. Please visit and ask for Madame Butterfly by name. She is one of more than 70 spayed/neutered rabbits available for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.

I am super lovable.

Update: Truman was adopted on August 14th! Truman is a very friendly and sweet little boy who enjoys your attention. He loves to be reassured that you care for and appreciate him. Truman tolerates being held, but usually only for short periods. Truman is a handsome Holland Mini Lop bunny, approximately 3 years of age. He is neutered and ready for adoption today at Nevada SPCA. We rescued Truman from another shelter. He had been surrendered there by his owners who were moving away without him. Truman and 70 other spayed/neutered rabbits are available for adoption today. Also, if you are new to bunny care, please visit and we will give you starter information to help you consider and determine whether adoption will be a good fit for you and your family. We hope to see you soon.

Please always keep me safely indoors.

Update: Jeremiah was adopted on June 22nd! Jeremiah is a very friendly "kit" - baby bunny - under 5 months of age. He is neutered and now ready for adoption in Nevada SPCA's Rabbit & Guinea Pig Rescue Room. Jeremiah is a Lionhead & Lop mix with stunning gold coloring. He needs extra grooming care, particularly with his mane and around his face. Jeremiah and his mother and baby brothers were rescued from a yard they had wandered into. He and his brothers were so small and defenseless, and their mother so domesticated and ill-prepared for the outdoors, that they would have been easy prey. We require that all adopted rabbits live indoors only. Besides predators, the desert weather extremes are too dangerous for bunnies, plus they will get better care indoors close to their families. Please visit and meet Jeremiah and almost 70 other spayed/neutered and microchipped rabbits for adoption today.
