My dream is to belong in a loving, committed family.

Update: Astoria was adopted on November 8th!

Though all of the rescued animals at Nevada SPCA love dinner-time and snacks, Astoria's enthusiasm for good food suggests that meal times for her are akin to how children anticipate trips to Disneyland.

Forget a bowl -- she jubilantly pulls the carrots, parsley, celery, and Romaine lettuce right from our hands.

And we are so happy to provide nutritious food and joy for her.  We rescued her from another shelter and our guess is that she was previously in a home where she was only fed pellets.  Timothy hay though, and fresh daily greens, are supposed to make up the majority of a bunny's diet, not pellets.

Astoria is a gorgeous Lop and Chinchilla mix rabbit, spayed, about 2 years young.  You can meet and adopt her in our new Lovebugs Room, which showcases bunnies, guinea pigs, gerbils, hamsters, and other small rescued animals for adoption.

Like all domesticated rabbits in our desert climate, Astoria needs an indoor-only home for her safety and comfort.  Keeping her inside with you will help you incorporate this little angel into your family.  Please visit and ask for her by name.

Very special thanks to Pet'ographique for these portraits which capture her so beautifully.
