Marcy

Image
Marcy , a sweetheart junior puppy, longs to know when she meets people whether they approve of her.  She is a medium-size Heinz 57 with Retriever and stunning sable, chocolate, and gold coloration, about 9 months of age, spayed, good with other dogs, and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.  We rescued Marcy from another shelter that asked for our help when they ran out of space for her.

Mikey

Image
Mikey , young at heart at 7 years of age, enjoys exploring new areas of the room or house during his playtime every day.  He is very content with quality attention from people he bonds with and cozy pillows for his naps.  Mikey would love a gentle home and he is ready for adoption at Nevada SPCA.  We rescued him from a California shelter (ferrets are illegal in California). (Thank you to the unnamed shelter for working to protect him for rescue and the individuals who made his transport possible.)  Please visit and ask for Mikey by name.

Hudson

Image
Hudson is a sensitive baby boy debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.  His mother is a Brussels Griffon mix (also rescued, and she will soon be ready for adoption too) and his father is unknown, found homeless with no sign of responsible ownership.  Hudson has been lovingly raised in a foster home with his mom since his rescue. He is now 4 months of age and neutered. Please puppy-proof your home and yard for his safety. Hudson is bashful and he needs a tender person to help him continue his socialization, ideally with a big sister or brother dog too.

Your donations saved my life.

Huckleberry is a fun-loving, affectionate baby boy debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA. He is a 6-month old puppy, a chocolate & white Bully mix with hazel eyes, and now neutered.  Please puppy-proof your home and yard for his safety. At the time of rescue Huckleberry was very sick with parvo, a potentially deadly disease, but after extensive medical care he has triumphantly made a full recovery! Please come meet this sweet pup and let him show you his immense charm.

Saki loves to smother you with kisses.

Saki is a perfectly snuggly baby boy with a bubbly personality.  He is a super cute, chocolate Poodle & Terrier mix, neutered, 3 months young, debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.  Saki has been lovingly raised and socialized in a foster home after being rescued many weeks ago when he was a motherless newborn.  He adores people and delights in covering your chin with kisses galore!

Paws, a Doberman Pinscher puppy for adoption.

Image
Paws , a Doberman Pinscher puppy, is like a young prince -- regal, but needing more socialization and experience to develop into a well-balanced adult.  He is very shy with new people and in new situations, so an experienced home is needed. Paws is 9 months of age, neutered, with handsome chocolate & brown coloring, and he debuts for adoption today at Nevada SPCA. He lost his previous home because he was reportedly accidentally knocking a very young child down during playtime. Please carefully puppy-proof your home and yard for his safety and protection.

Loneliness is my biggest fear.

Didi is dazzling us with her progress! When we first rescued her she was torn between wanting to be near us or wanting to hide because she had little self-confidence. Thanks to attention from volunteers and staff, Didi now sees people as comforting and delights in bonding and soaking up adoration. She is a chocolate Bully mix, spayed, just over a year of age.  Ready for adoption for a few months now, she hopes she can get a fresh look by potential adopters in light of her improvements. Didi reportedly loves children and she is compatible with some dogs.  A very secure home and yard is needed for her because she reportedly would jump over a 6-foot wall when she got lonely.

Will I ever get to feel that I am loved?

With the extreme weather patterns of a desert climate, we think it is unconscionable that this little angel had been banished to living solely outdoors, isolated from her previous family for all but just a few minutes per day at best. Lara is understandably wary of new people, protecting herself from getting hopeful.  But she is gentle and warm with those she trusts. Lara is a pretty, chocolate Chihuahua, spayed girl, about 4 years of age, compatible with other sweet dogs.  She debuts for adoption today. Because of her timidity, we believe she will do best in an experienced, quiet home with adults only (or any children in the home being older and very mature). Please adopt Lara and introduce her to the wonders of a loving home environment.

I wiggle and kiss.

Update: Leggo was adopted on January 11th! The positive energy radiating from this little beauty is awe-inspiring. Leggo (the name she came to us with) is exceptionally sunny and cheerful, anxious to share her goodness with everyone. She is a chocolate Dachshund mix, slightly plump, spayed, just a year of age, debuting for adoption today. Besides enjoying people and dogs, she is also reportedly compatible with cats and mature kids, plus housetrained too. Leggo needed us because a member of her previous family was allergic to her.

Will your love for us last forever?

Update 2: Slice and Jaguar were adopted together on October 15th! Update: Gin was adopted on October 12th! Gin, Slice, and Jaguar are incredibly cute kittens ready for adoption today. The brothers little "purr monsters" -- noted for their loud purring -- as they crave affection and kind contact. The boys are all Siamese mixes.  Gin is a chocolate point, while Slice and Jaguar have lynx point coloring.  They are neutered and approximately 5 months of age. A compassionate family rescued their mom off the streets.  She was pregnant at the time.  After she gave birth, the family decided to keep mom and they had her spayed.  They asked us to take her babies and we placed them in a loving foster home until they were old enough to be neutered. Their individual personalities are blooming.  Gin gives kisses, Slice is very playful and social and enjoys playing hide-and-seek with other cats, and Jaguar is quite the athlete. The boys can be adopted s...

Life on 3 legs is no problem. I am just happy to be alive.

Update: Republic was adopted on September 2nd! Republic is a noble, wise youngster, smart enough to realize that there is no time for pity when you can still enjoy the every day wonders of life. Come meet him at Nevada SPCA and you will find an enthusiastic, cheery boy ready to find a forever home. Just a few weeks ago though, he was a mangled, injured mess and in a state of shock. A man who drives a trash-collecting truck alerted us about a little brown dog under a dumpster. His injuries were consistent with being struck by a vehicle -- the bones in his front left leg were shattered and his jaw was broken. But he also showed signs of being attacked by another dog or coyote and he had puncture wounds across his body. We rushed him into emergency medical care. The veterinary surgeon was able to wire and repair his jaw. His leg could not be saved and it was removed. Republic is healing beautifully. He adjusted to life on three legs very quickly and he bounces about as if his past t...

My enthusiasm for life and fun has no bounds.

Update: Diamond was adopted on July 20th! Indeed a beautiful jewel, Diamond offers priceless unconditional love and joy. She is a fun-loving, outgoing, gregarious baby girl with a playful nature. Diamond is a chocolate & white Bully mix with hazel eyes, spayed female, 10 months of age. She is "90%" housetrained, 100% crate-trained, and reportedly compatible with other dogs and kind children. Surely Diamond can challenge the thinking of those who fear the Bully breeds. She is only dangerous if you don't like getting licked on the face. Also, Diamond is reportedly afraid of her water bowl, so it is important to be creative to ensure she has plenty of access to fresh water. (Please be willing to try a range of different bowl types at various places in your home.) Diamond debuts for adoption today.

I crave love so much.

Update: Doc Holiday was adopted on December 8th! Doc Holiday is an adorable kitten who seems to purr with every touch. He is a chocolate point Siamese (perhaps mix) with deep blue eyes and a very friendly nature. Doc Holiday is neutered, about 7 months of age, and ready for adoption today in Nevada SPCA's free-roaming Cat Condo playrooms. He wants and needs much of your attention, so please only consider him if you are able to reciprocate and share lots of love and affection. Doc Holiday needed rescue and Nevada SPCA when his owner inexplicably abandoned him in a locked home. Countless animals perish from this type of recklessness, so this little boy is one of the fortunate ones to not succumb to starvation. Please visit and ask for Doc Holiday by name.

I am a baby chocolate kiss!

Update: Hershey was adopted on November 16th! Hershey is a tiny puppy with a theatrical personality and boundless energy. She is a chocolate Chihuahua (perhaps mix), spayed, and about 3 months of age. Please remember to carefully puppy-proof your home and yard for her safety and protection. Hershey is good with other sweet dogs, and she is reportedly fine with older, mature kids too. She needed us because her previous owner said he did not have enough time to care for her properly. Hershey debuts for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.

I am a gentle soul.

Update: Chocolate was adopted on August 28th! Chocolate is a complete sweetheart! She is very loving and good-natured. All she wants is someone to bless with her unconditional love in exchange for a lifetime of good care and adoration. Chocolate is a darling Cocker Spaniel, spayed, 3 years young. She needed rescue when her owners moved to an apartment that did not allow pets. Besides losing her human family, she lost her Cocker Spaniel brother who was also relinquished. He was already neutered and was quickly adopted shortly after being surrendered to us. Chocolate is now spayed and she debuts for adoption today at Nevada SPCA. Chocolate is housetrained and compatible with other dogs and mature children. Her favorite toys are tennis balls. Please be sure to budget extra for regular grooming for her.
