Buttercup -- Before & After.

Image
After Before Before Buttercup's rescue & recovery: This docile boy, 13 years of age and 24 pounds in weight, was suffering from some of the most severe matting on a feline that we have seen in years. His previous owners not only let him roam the neighborhood, but then left him behind when they moved away. Buttercup knew his caretakers wanted to help him and he held still and let them shave away years of accumulated knots and giants matted folds. Under all of this, his skin was in poor, flaky condition. With premium food and special skin oils, Buttercup's skin is improving significantly every day. Buttercup loves being held in gentle arms or cuddling up in cozy cat beds. He is great with other sweet cats.    Please share his post to help him finally know and experience what a loving and responsible home feels like, at long, long last.

Buttercup loves for you to build small obstacle courses for her, ideally including kitten toy tunnels and cardboard boxes.  She is playful, gentle, and terrific with other ferrets too (and tolerant of friendly cats).  Buttercup is an attractive ferret, 3 years of age and spayed, ready for adoption at Nevada SPCA.  She needed us due to her previous owner's financial hardship.

Buttercup pleads to be liked and praised. He is wonderfully friendly and gentle, and so humble that he only asks for kindness.  Buttercup is 1 year young, a small Heinz 57 with Cocker Spaniel and other breeds, neutered boy, good with other dogs, and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.  Buttercup was found homeless on the streets. His microchip ID was traced, but his previous owner refused him.  Please help find him someone who will cherish him and never fail him.

Buttercup's winsome smile is matched by the peace-of-mind in her eyes. Months ago at the time of her rescue, Buttercup refused to let us touch her. She wanted nothing more to do with humans and feared more violence.    Volunteers and staff sat with her, complimented her, and she began accepting kindness. Every week she improved. Now, Buttercup wags her tail and smiles when people she knows approach her. She is ready for her new life and fresh start, and debuts for adoption today at Nevada SPCA. Buttercup is great with other dogs, a calm-natured Chihuahua, spayed, and 10 years of age.    Please share her picture and help find Buttercup a wonderful forever home.

Please never leave me. Please don't give up on me.

Buttercup craves kindness and gives doggie kisses to everyone who is nice to him.  He is a very attractive blend of Spaniel & Retriever (about 40 pounds), 4 years of age and neutered, debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.  Buttercup is good with other dogs too.  He was at another shelter that asked for our help.  He reportedly had lost at least 5 homes and become so fearful of abandonment that he developed separation anxiety.  While there's no instant fix for separation anxiety, there are reasonable steps that can be taken in a stable home to help Buttercup gain self-assurance for the times when he is alone.

We love to pounce on wiggling toes!

Buttercup & Creampop These sweet babies were found as newborns in an old ice chest in someone's backyard.  Something happened to their momma and she never returned.  We rushed them to a foster mom who could give them the tender loving care they needed to survive. Now, weeks later, both kittens are thriving and developing beautifully.  Buttercup and Creampop are sister and brother, spayed/neutered, about 4 months of age, and they are ready for adoption into forever homes.  They are both orange London Tabbies and have amazing "bullseye" tabby markings on their sides. Buttercup and Creampop are excellent cuddlers, but playfully rambunctious when their curiosity is triggered.  Their foster mom says that at night they creep up to the foot of the bed waiting for toes to wiggle. The kittens come to Nevada SPCA for adoption on Saturdays, beginning at 11am, and live with their foster mom during the week.  If you would like to meet them before Saturd...

My devotion is a blessing, but who can I trust?

We believe Buttercup's innocence was shattered at some point during her young life. The victim of abuse, she needs a very gentle person or couple (adults only) to prove to her that people are worthy of her trust and unconditional love. Buttercup is a beautiful Labrador Retriever mix, spayed female, just a year of age. She is reportedly housetrained. The reason she apparently lost her previous home was due to aggression with other dogs. Buttercup debuts for adoption today.
