Emma

Emma, 10, an angelic and tiny girl, loves being carried in your arms, held close to your body. She is a Yorkshire Terrier, good with other dogs, now spayed and ready for adoption at Nevada SPCA.

Emma has triumphed over perilous hardship. At the time of rescue she was on the streets and suffering from extreme neglect, including matting and starvation, and most dangerous of all, a severe uterine infection (pyometra).

Thanks to advanced medical care, dental care, and a loving foster home, she has been mending beautifully ever since.

Emma's primary challenge now is her diet. Her foster mom homecooked for her because she refuses to eat dog food of any kind or flavor. She has few teeth left and her food must be nutritious, and easy to chew and swallow.

Please share Emma's picture and help find her a hero.
