Emma

Image
Emma , 10, an angelic and tiny girl, loves being carried in your arms, held close to your body. She is a Yorkshire Terrier, good with other dogs, now spayed and ready for adoption at Nevada SPCA. Emma has triumphed over perilous hardship. At the time of rescue she was on the streets and suffering from extreme neglect, including matting and starvation, and most dangerous of all, a severe uterine infection (pyometra).    Thanks to advanced medical care, dental care, and a loving foster home, she has been mending beautifully ever since. Emma's primary challenge now is her diet. Her foster mom homecooked for her because she refuses to eat dog food of any kind or flavor. She has few teeth left and her food must be nutritious, and easy to chew and swallow. Please share Emma's picture and help find her a hero.

Holly

Image
Holly is an adorable English Bulldog debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA. She is 7 years of age, spayed, housetrained & crate-trained, good with older kids, and compatible with some dogs (though picky about which dogs she likes).  Holly doesn't instantly warm to people, but steadily builds strong bonds with time and familiarity.  At the time of rescue she was surrendered by her previous owner and in peril from pyometra (uterine infection).  Thanks to generous donors to our advanced care fund, we had emergency surgery provided to save her life (removing her uterus and ovaries), and she healed very well.

Please do not betray my trust and devotion.

Petunia is a kind, loyal young girl who dreams of being loved.  She is a beautiful Bully mix, 2 years of age, spayed, and debuting for adoption at Nevada SPCA.  Petunia is crate-trained and may be compatible with some dogs.  Most of her background is unknown, except that she was left behind at a veterinary hospital with a uterine infection (pyometra).  The hospital staff fell in love with her and saved her life, then asked us to adopt her into a responsible, forever home. We suspect Petunia has been roughed up and abused, based on her fear of being pushed or physically forced against her will.  Otherwise, she is remarkably sweet and jovial.  Please help us find her a home where she will only experience the best of human nature.

Gardenia

Gardenia has volunteers and staff falling head-over-heels in admiration of her grace and tenderness.  She is a petite Pug, about 10 years of age, good with other dogs, now spayed and triumphantly debuting for adoption at Nevada SPCA.  At the time of rescue this angel was in terrible pain and shock from an unknown cause, surrendered by previous owners who said they could not afford any veterinary care for her.  We rushed Gardenia to a veterinary hospital for emergency treatment to try and save her.  The veterinarians determined she had a severe uterine infection (pyometra) and her life was saved with an emergency spay surgery.  Gardenia is now healed, feeling good and affectionate, and she's very ready to begin her new life in a loving, responsible, forever home.
