Christian and his siblings saved from unconscionable horror.

Minutes ago Christian (pictured here) and his siblings were just rescued from unconscionable peril at the last possible moment!

They are part of the 9 rescued motherless kittens so far today who need foster parents please. If you can help, please visit Nevada SPCA today before 5pm and ask for Lauren.

All of the kittens are now safe and receiving loving care.

But the facts below may be too graphic and distressing for some. Please do not read further if concerned. We need to list the basic facts below to tell their story. We try not to show images or share facts that are unnecessarily inflammatory. However, it's important that their stories are told and perhaps further cruelty can be stopped.

A family at a weekly apartment complex witnessed a man in motion to swing a hammer on the kittens. In front of young children, the man was attempting to behead Christian over the mouth of the trash dumpster. The family not only stopped the criminal, but confiscated all of the kittens from him and rushed them to us. (There is also follow-up with authorities for what we hope will be arrest and criminal prosecution.)

Twinkie is the tiniest of dogs -- only 3 pounds! -- but he has enormous unconditional love to share with you.  He is a super cute, super sweet Yorkshire Terrier, neutered boy, 10 years of age, debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.  Another shelter asked us to rescue Twinkie because of his dental needs.  We had his teeth cleaned and he is now ready for a forever home.  An experienced home is required for his safety due to his exceptionally small size.

We are Cocker Spaniel & Scottish Terrier mix puppies now ready for adoption into loving, forever homes.

Anna Beanie Little Eric Michelle Nicholas Sisters Anna and Michelle , and their brothers Beanie , Little Eric , and Nicholas , are very affectionate babies who love giving you kisses. We rescued their pregnant mother, a Cocker Spaniel named Mary Poppins from a government-funded shelter.  She had reportedly been bred with a Scottish Terrier.  We placed Mary Poppins in a loving foster home and she gave birth to these five angels and raised them there. Mary Poppins is going to be adopted by her foster family.  Her puppies are now 3 months of age, spayed/neutered, and ready for adoption. Please carefully puppy-proof your home and yard for their safety and protection.

Update 2: Jellybean was adopted on November 11th! Update: Licorice was adopted on November 9th! Licorice and Jellybean , brother and sister, are nicknamed " The Sweet Candy Puppies " due to their affectionate, adorable temperaments. They are most likely Retriever mixes and may grow to medium or large size. They are spayed/neutered, approximately 3 months of age, and they debut for adoption today at Nevada SPCA. The Sweet Candy Puppies were rescued after being found abandoned on the streets. Jellybean was injured with a hairline fracture in her right rear leg. We had her leg treated and it had been bandaged and she was resting for nearly a month. She recovered beautifully. Licorice and Jellybean can be adopted separately, but please consider adopting them together for lifelong love and companionship. They are terrific together!
