10 babies just rescued.

10 babies -- 16 days old, 5 girls and 5 boys -- are now safe and being placed in foster homes this afternoon for bottle-feeding and other nurturing care.

We rescued the puppies from another shelter that asked for our help. Their mother, a Bully mix, was reportedly confiscated from a backyard breeder. Her previous owner was allowed by authorities there to reclaim her, but only after she was spayed to ensure she never breeds again. The authorities refused to let the mother's previous owner have the puppies and instead directed the babies to our rescue program for foster care and then adoption placement in responsible, lifelong homes.

We have foster homes for all 10 lined up for tonight, but some can only help short-term, so if you are interested in helping as a foster parent to help nurture and socialize them through the whole summer, please visit Nevada SPCA in person and ask for DJ.

Thank you.
