McCaine

McCaine is taking baby steps every day, improving and developing faster than expected. This morning he kissed his caretaker moments before this picture was taken.

McCaine is the 34th of the 35 rescued Blond Angels. Most were rescued in April, but he and another evaded capture. Officers feared coyotes attacking them on the vacated property and continued efforts to save them at every opportunity. On May 3, McCaine was finally captured by the officers (and the 35th Blond Angel was captured too on May 5).

As you may recall, the Blond Angels were saved from a home where their previous owners had been convicted of animal cruelty. Their emotional development is their biggest challenge, but each is gradually improving thanks to the dedication of everyone helping them (staff, volunteers, veterinarians, trainers, more).

McCaine is a White Shepherd mix, 4 years of age, compatible with large dogs, now neutered and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA. He is terrified of loud noises and flinches when first touched. But McCaine is blooming and the person who adopts him will experience an innocent soul growing and reaching full loving potential.
