Physical pain would have hurt me less than this undeserved, brutal cruelty.

Romeo was callously rejected by his previous owners after 13 years of loyalty because he "has hair". Our staff person pressed the woman for some sort of clarification and she would only say that her husband doesn't want him anymore because he "has hair and barks".

We thought this must be false, a sick joke, but she signed him over with no donation whatsoever and walked away from him forever.

Needless to say, Romeo's heart is broken and we are in overdrive trying to keep his spirits up until a hero can be found for him.

Romeo is a medium-size, plump Heinz 57 with Retriever, now neutered and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA. He is reportedly housetrained, but not use to being around other animals. Adult-only home needed because he can get irritable with strangers.

Please help us find him a hero. It's not too late to show Romeo the better side of human nature.
