Barbie was abandoned by her previous owners and then rescued by neighbors who realized she had been left behind.
They found her in a state of severe depression. She is steadily recovering, though anxious about what has happened to her.
Barbie is a very gentle, social girl, humble and unassuming. She just wants to be included, to belong, and isolation is what brought her despair.
We think she will do best in a home with another dog and/or with people who are frequently home.
Barbie is a lovely Labrador Retriever mix, medium size, spayed female, about 6 years of age. She is reportedly housetrained and great with kids of all ages.
