I survived the monsters.

Update: Rudy was adopted on December 4th!

A new life for Rudy began the day we carried him through our doors.

He was confiscated by officers who found him in a cruel, abusive home.  His eardrum was ruptured, he was filthy and matted and underweight, he had numerous cysts, and he was suffering from untreated thyroid problems.

We had Rudy's eardrum repaired, his coat groomed, his largest cysts removed, and he is now on thyroid medication for life, feeling and looking like a sweet little prince.

While the physical repairs have taken just weeks, his emotional healing will take longer.  But he responds beautifully to gentle people and he will build self-esteem in a stable, nurturing home environment.

Rudy is a Shih Tzu, neutered male, about 5 years of age, debuting for adoption today.  Besides budgeting for his thyroid medication, please budget for regular professional grooming care.

Adopt him and help him continue to awaken to the love and joy that a warm, kind home offers.

To support our lifesaving work for innocent victims, like Rudy, please donate to Nevada SPCA.  We do not get funding from the government or national animal organizations, so our no-kill efforts for animals are completely dependent on compassionate people like you.  Thank you.
