Help ease my terror so I can realize my full, loving potential.

Update: PJ was adopted on February 20th!

Behind his beautiful smile, PJ's soul is scarred and needs repair.

We do not believe he has been the victim of abuse. But he needs much more socialization and he is terrified of new people and extremely anxious in new situations.

PJ is reportedly an American Eskimo and Pomeranian mix. He is exceptionally attractive, a neutered male, just one year of age.

He needed us because his previous owner lost the family home to foreclosure.

PJ is reportedly housetrained and crate-trained. He enjoys other dogs and we believe he will adjust best in a home with another dog (or dogs).

He has not bitten anyone, but he is snappy and nippy when particularly fearful, warning us that he needs more time to adjust. A very patient, experienced owner is needed for him. And to err on the safe side for dog bite prevention, he must have no access to toddlers or young children as a strict condition of his adoption.

Please help PJ continue his progress with learning to trust and gaining self-esteem. Nurturing him gently toward becoming a well-adjusted boy will bring untold rewards, including the unconditional love and gratitude of a sweetheart who needs a hero.
