Update: Louie was adopted on December 4th!

Louie is about 4 years of age, but just now being given the golden opportunity to join a home where he will be loved and adored as a member of the family.

He was rescued from a breeder, used for years to produce Yorkie puppies to make a quick buck.

But breeding during this most severe animal overpopulation crisis, worsened further by the recession and home foreclosure crisis, is simply unconscionable.

Louie is a super cute Yorkshire Terrier with a zany personality and great zest for life. He is all set to bloom beautifully in a caring home environment.

Besides regular grooming, please plan on providing him with a wealth of good guidance for basic behaviors. We suspect that he may need to adjust to living predominantly indoors, learning housetraining, and so forth, and a steady lifestyle routine should be very helpful.

Louie may get along with some dogs, but he has been grumpy with several we have introduced him to here. If you have another dog, please be sure to bring him or her to meet him in the courtyard to ensure he gets along with the entire family.

Twinkie is the tiniest of dogs -- only 3 pounds! -- but he has enormous unconditional love to share with you.  He is a super cute, super sweet Yorkshire Terrier, neutered boy, 10 years of age, debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.  Another shelter asked us to rescue Twinkie because of his dental needs.  We had his teeth cleaned and he is now ready for a forever home.  An experienced home is required for his safety due to his exceptionally small size.

Anna Beanie Little Eric Michelle Nicholas Sisters Anna and Michelle , and their brothers Beanie , Little Eric , and Nicholas , are very affectionate babies who love giving you kisses. We rescued their pregnant mother, a Cocker Spaniel named Mary Poppins from a government-funded shelter.  She had reportedly been bred with a Scottish Terrier.  We placed Mary Poppins in a loving foster home and she gave birth to these five angels and raised them there. Mary Poppins is going to be adopted by her foster family.  Her puppies are now 3 months of age, spayed/neutered, and ready for adoption. Please carefully puppy-proof your home and yard for their safety and protection.

Update 2: Jellybean was adopted on November 11th! Update: Licorice was adopted on November 9th! Licorice and Jellybean , brother and sister, are nicknamed " The Sweet Candy Puppies " due to their affectionate, adorable temperaments. They are most likely Retriever mixes and may grow to medium or large size. They are spayed/neutered, approximately 3 months of age, and they debut for adoption today at Nevada SPCA. The Sweet Candy Puppies were rescued after being found abandoned on the streets. Jellybean was injured with a hairline fracture in her right rear leg. We had her leg treated and it had been bandaged and she was resting for nearly a month. She recovered beautifully. Licorice and Jellybean can be adopted separately, but please consider adopting them together for lifelong love and companionship. They are terrific together!
