Why was I cast out despite not doing anything wrong?

Update: Mandy was adopted on September 26th!

We strongly believe that companion animals must be members of the family.

When we hear that people want to "use" them -- to be a guard dog, to chase away mice, to teach their children responsibility, and so forth -- that worries us greatly that they will be rejected by the family if they fail to fulfill their intended use.

Mandy is a case in point. The responsibility for her care was apparently thrust upon the children. But caring for a companion animal is an adult responsibility.

When we asked why she was being surrendered to us, the reply was: "Daughter is tired of taking care of her."

Mandy is a magnificent little lady who craves attention.

She is housetrained, good with kind children, and she enjoys other sweet dogs.

Mandy is a Lhasa Apso, spayed, 5 years of age. She debuts for adoption today at Nevada SPCA. Please plan on regular grooming care for her and budget extra accordingly.

Anna Beanie Little Eric Michelle Nicholas Sisters Anna and Michelle , and their brothers Beanie , Little Eric , and Nicholas , are very affectionate babies who love giving you kisses. We rescued their pregnant mother, a Cocker Spaniel named Mary Poppins from a government-funded shelter.  She had reportedly been bred with a Scottish Terrier.  We placed Mary Poppins in a loving foster home and she gave birth to these five angels and raised them there. Mary Poppins is going to be adopted by her foster family.  Her puppies are now 3 months of age, spayed/neutered, and ready for adoption. Bailey, a rescued Cocker Spaniel ready to begin his new life.

Bailey is a gentle Cocker Spaniel who was at another shelter with a severely damaged eye.  We rescued him, had his eye removed at a veterinary hospital, and then placed him in a loving foster home so he could heal in peace and begin his adjustment to life with one eye in a home environment.  Bailey is about 8 years of age, neutered, and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.
