My heart aches from being thrown away like trash.

Our volunteers happened to catch a woman sneaking behind a building and dumping two cats out to fend for themselves.

She sped away before they could see her license plate, since companion animal abandonment outdoors is both a moral and legal crime, but they were able to capture the cats and bring them to safety at Nevada SPCA.

Poppy is now ready for adoption to a loving, forever home. He is a treasure, not trash.

Poppy's brother has been adopted, so he now awaits a hero to come for him too.

Poppy is an exceptionally handsome London Tabby, neutered male, approximately 3 years of age.

He has a curious, inquisitive nature and he gets along well with the other rescued cats.

Please come meet Poppy today in Nevada SPCA's free-roaming Cat Condo playrooms. He and 200 other spayed/neutered felines seek committed, indoor-only homes where they will be cherished for a lifetime.
