Just rescued and needing a foster hero please! Geordie and his siblings are just 3 days old kittens.    Two young girls walking by an empty lot heard cries of distress and found the newborns scattered around the property without their mother in sight. The babies need bottle feeding every few hours.    Please share Geordie's picture to help find a foster hero. Lacey, March 11 Lacey, May 26 Lacey is an angelic girl who has been recovering from starvation for the past 8 weeks.  Today, she triumphantly debuts for adoption at Nevada SPCA. Lacey is a Shih-Tzu mix, about 6 years of age and spayed, and great with other gentle dogs.  We rescued her from another shelter in March when she was skeletal, severely neglected, and had blood in her urine from a bladder stone.  The first picture (green background) is just days after her rescue once we had her knots and tangles shaved away.  In this morning's picture (the turquoise background), you can see the hope and glow in her eyes.  Lacey has regained weight and energy, her coat is growing out nicely thanks to premium food, and she has recovered well from her bladder stone surgery.  Please help us find a wonderful, stable, loving forever home for Lacey .

Melanie and a dozen other rescued motherless young kittens urgently need loving foster homes. Please visit Nevada SPCA in person before 4pm and ask for Lonnie if you can help two or more, for a foster commitment of approximately 2-3 months. Sharing their pictures is helping find foster homes! So we appreciate your help very much. Melanie is about 4 weeks of age. She and her siblings were reportedly found crying in distress in someone's backyard, their mother's whereabouts or well-being unknown.  More about foster parenting.

Tender loving care from nurturing foster parents is the only hope for motherless newborns and others with a fragile hold on life.  We feel blessed to have so many volunteers and staff willing to care for these babies, even waking up in the middle of the night to ensure they are fed every three hours.  More people are needed to help as motherless newborns continue to be rescued throughout the spring and summer, so please visit Nevada SPCA and ask for Lonnie if you would like to learn more about becoming a foster parent.
