Nevada SPCA Animal Rescue

Rachel coos and cries when she eats. She is so grateful for every bite. At the time of rescue she was emaciated from starvation. She was found running in the middle of a major Vegas boulevard (Jones), perhaps as a last resort to get help. Rachel needed veterinary care, but fortunately her organs had not begun to shut down. Rachel continues building energy and hope. She is a petite Chihuahua, friendly and loving, 4 years of age, spayed, good with dogs, and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.

Troubadour is a soulful little fellow who looks up to people for hope.  He was found abandoned in a neighborhood, where he had run to a family's front door pleading for help.  Troubadour is a warm-hearted Chihuahua, 5 years of age and neutered, good with other sweet dogs, and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA. Please help find him a responsible, loving home where he will always know he is safe and treasured.

Christopher is a cheerful, quizzical little boy who likes to understand every person, dog, and toy he encounters.  He is a remarkably cute Chihuahua with cupped, front-folding ears, about 5 years of age and neutered, and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.  Christopher is crate-trained, good with other dogs, and so happy to be sitting in your lap getting attention.  He needed us due to his previous owner's housing problems.

Buttercup's winsome smile is matched by the peace-of-mind in her eyes. Months ago at the time of her rescue, Buttercup refused to let us touch her. She wanted nothing more to do with humans and feared more violence.    Volunteers and staff sat with her, complimented her, and she began accepting kindness. Every week she improved. Now, Buttercup wags her tail and smiles when people she knows approach her. She is ready for her new life and fresh start, and debuts for adoption today at Nevada SPCA. Buttercup is great with other dogs, a calm-natured Chihuahua, spayed, and 10 years of age.    Please share her picture and help find Buttercup a wonderful forever home.

Candelabra just wants to feel safe. Though very shy, she calms in gentle arms.  She is a petite Chihuahua, 2 years of age, spayed girl, debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA. Everyone notes her surprisingly human-like face.  Candelabra is good with dogs and may adjust best in a home with a big sister or brother dog.  We rescued her from another shelter that asked for our help due to her timidity.

Maggie looks at us with such longing, unaware she is already safe, pleading for her place in this world.    Please share her picture and help her find a loving home. Maggie is a gentle Chihuahua, 10 years of age and spayed, good with other dogs, debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.    We rescued her from another shelter that asked for our help.

Margie hopes you will accept her unconditional love for life.  This tiny young girl has survived so much, but seems to know that a peaceful home soon awaits her.  Margie is a 4-pound Chihuahua with mousy good looks, 2 years young and spayed, great with other dogs, and ready for adoption at Nevada SPCA. At the time of rescue Margie was in another shelter and in dire need from being struck by a vehicle.  We had hip repair surgery provided for Margie and she made a beautiful recovery.  Special thanks to Pet'ographique for these incredible new portraits to help Margie's dreams come true.

Penny , a tiny angel, debuts for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.  She is fantastic with cats and dogs, housetrained & crate-trained, a spayed Chihuahua, 7 years of age.  Thanks to wonderful foster care, Penny has adjusted very well to life on three legs.  (At the time of rescue Penny was at another shelter and her front left leg was broken beyond repair.)  Her foster mom says Penny hops around like a baby deer, even running up and down stairs perfectly fine.  She also says Penny is so affectionate she can cuddle all night and doesn't want to get out of bed in the morning.  She enjoys sun-bathing, belly rubs, and giving doggie kisses.

Tommy is remarkably thoughtful and kind.  He was at a special event last night (Party With Your Pooch) and met thousands of people and dogs, and he loved everyone!  Tommy is a gold-cream & white Chihuahua, about 5 years of age, neutered, and good with other dogs.  We rescued him from another shelter.  Special thanks to Pet'ographique for these fun new portraits to help him find a forever home.
