Please do not forget that gerbils like me need committed, forever homes too.

Stefan is adorable from nose to tail, outgoing and very curious, always anxious to explore. He is a cute gerbil, adult male, about 2 years young. Like most gerbils in good homes, Stefan may live to 5-6 years of age, so please only consider him if you are fully committed to making him a member of your family for his entire lifetime. Gerbils are social animals and they require quality time with you daily . Please consult with your staff if you would like to consider adopting him with a brother for lifetime companionship. Stefan is one of about 40 rescued hamsters and gerbils at Nevada SPCA who await loving homes.

Can I count on you to love me throughout my entire life?

Update: Laika was adopted on January 15th! Laika is an amusing, precious puppy, full of character. She is a Heinz 57, perhaps with Chihuahua and Pug, about 3 months of age. We expect her to remain small in size. Laika is now spayed and ready for adoption today. Please be sure to carefully puppy-proof your home and yard for her safety and protection. Laika needed us when her owners surrendered her, apparently due to financial collapse, but no reason was given. As when considering the adoption of any animals, please be sure you are willing and able to make a lifetime commitment to her joining your family.

A lifetime commitment to Red-Eared Slider Turtles like me may be a long obligation.

Update: Felicia was adopted on September 23rd! Felicia is a large adult female with a shell exceeding 8 inches in length. A Red-Eared Slider Turtle, she is semi-aquatic and spends most of her time underwater, though she enjoys basking areas in her tank to temporarily crawl out of the water. Felicia is an excellent swimmer and needs a large area to swim in. Because of her size, she should not be around very small or newborn turtles, but bonding with another larger female turtle is a possibility. She needs an owner knowledgeable about turtles who is willing and able to give her good care, beginning with strong water filters in her tank or pond and frequent water changes. Felicia is available for adoption today in the sitting area at the center of the Cat Condos. Please only consider her if you can fully commit to making her a member of your family for decades to come. Our best guess is that she is approximately 8-10 years of age, so she may live for 20-25 more years.
