Valerie

Image
Valerie was at another shelter that asked for our help.  Her right front paw was deformed (birth defect).  We rescued her and a veterinary specialist recommended amputation.  Valerie has healed and adjusted well, and we love her positive, can-do attitude.  She is a Toy & Terrier mix, 2 years young, spayed girl, triumphantly debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA. Valerie adores people and dogs and she is eager to begin her new life.

Very inspiring update on Helen!

Helen, pictured at Nevada SPCA, autumn, 2012. Helen after a recent haircut. Lulu and Helen. Lulu and Helen. Faye adopted Helen in the fall of 2012 and says she has brought tremendous happiness to their family.  Faye said she was worried about bringing home a blind dog and whether Helen could manage a house with stairs.  But Faye says Helen has adapted beautifully, in part thanks to guidance from her canine sister, Lulu, and human sister, Ellie.  Faye says Helen gets around so well that she frequently forgets that Helen is blind.  Helen loves to cuddle and explore her big backyard with Lulu. Please love me and keep me safe from harm.

Cecil is a playful junior puppy and the jovial side of his personality emerges more every day.  This sweetheart now has many years of love and adoration to look forward to!  Cecil is a small Heinz 57 (with Chihuahua, Terrier, and Toy), 10 months of age, neutered, and triumphantly debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.  At the time of rescue Cecil was at another shelter and his left eye was missing from its socket (believed to be a recent loss).  He is adjusting steadily and he's now ready to join a loving, forever home.

I'm so ready for a new life!

Hewey is a vibrant youngster who loves to shower your face with doggie kisses!  He's progressed very well since his rescue when was in acute pain from a severely broken right front leg that could not be saved (an injury consistent with extreme trauma, such as being hit by a vehicle or falling from a roof).  Hewey bounces around joyfully on three legs, happy to no longer be suffering.  He is a chocolate & cream Chihuahua, 1 year of age, neutered, good with dogs, and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.

Donny, a peaceful boy traumatized by repeated violence.

When Donny was turned into another shelter, his previous owner reportedly said his injuries were from repeated attacks by other dogs. Donny's hind right leg was severely broken beyond repair.  We rescued Donny and had his amputation surgery performed at a local veterinary clinic.  Despite being plump, he is healing very well and adjusting to life on three legs.  Donny is a Chi-Weenie (Chihuahua & Dachshund mix) with a jolly temperament, 9 years of age, a neutered boy, ready for adoption at Nevada SPCA.  Please help us find him a responsible, violence-free, loving forever home.
