Tara is a bright-eyed sweetheart who loves going for walks and getting belly & chin rubs.    She is nurturing to the people she loves. Tara's previous owner (who surrendered her when she moved into a nursing home) said that when she fell that Tara would maneuver underneath her to try and help her get back up. Tara is afraid of the dark, so please keep a night-light on for her in the bedroom. Tara is a Terrier & Toy mix, 7 years of age and spayed, housetrained, good with other dogs (but not children), and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA .

Tara yearns for kindness. She is becoming more hopeful every day, overcoming challenges from her past, and she's ready for adoption at Nevada SPCA. Tara is a large Tibetan Terrier mix (42 pounds), 5 years of age, spayed, and housetrained.    She gets along well with other dogs, if fed meals and treats when she is separated from them.    Tara was at another shelter that asked for our help due to her timidity.    She is recovering from severe abuse and neglect. Very experienced, adult-only home needed to help her continue improving and reaching her full loving potential.

Caylie Pippi Tara Caylie , Pippi , and Tara are three ducklings who need a safe, caring, loving forever home where they can remain together.  All three are about 6-7 weeks of age and they delight in frolicking in wading pools.  Caylie and Tara are Crested Pekin ducks and Pippi is a Mallard.  Their previous owner said they bought them at a pet store, but they got 'too big'.  The babies are completely dependent on humans for survival.  Please visit Nevada SPCA and ask for Janean if you would like to adopt them.

Update 2: Trudy was adopted on December 22nd! Update: Tara was adopted on December 19th! Tara (pictured here) and her sister Trudy are on the cusp of being in a loving home for the first time ever. The girls debut for adoption today at Nevada SPCA. Tara & Trudy are young Boxers, approximately one year of age. Both are shy and reserved with new people, but they have gentle souls and they are full of tremendous potential. The girls were reportedly bred for sale in a puppy store, but grew to adult size before being purchased. We agreed to rescue them so they could avoid a loveless life of being used and exploited for their puppies, as their mother was at a breeding kennel. Tara & Trudy are now spayed and ready for adoption at Nevada SPCA. Please be patient with them and provide good guidance to help them adjust to living predominantly indoors as true members of the family.
