Carla , a hopeful young girl enthusiastically awaiting a new life, debuts for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.  She is a Labrador Retriever & Mastiff mix with a wonderfully expressive face, 2 years of age and spayed, housetrained, and good with older kids.  Carla was at another shelter that asked for our help. She needs kind guidance and basic training to learn good behaviors and understand what is expected of her.

I am a 129-pound lap dog!

Pee Wee is a huge, lovable sweetheart debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.  He is a Great Dane & Mastiff mix, about 6 years of age and now neutered.  Large dog experience is preferred for his adoption. Pee Wee likes to play ball and he is reportedly compatible with older kids and large female dogs.  (He reportedly did not get along with male dogs, but that was before he was neutered.)  Pee Wee is good-natured, blessed with a sweet soul.

Please show me that this world offers some kindness.

Update: Candy Kisses was adopted on May 24th! A Nevada SPCA volunteer witnessed this girl being struck by a car on a busy road. Her physical wounds have healed now. But what we discovered is that her emotional injuries from extremely severe abuse run much deeper. Medicine and bandages and casts cannot mend her broken heart and crushed spirit. But tender loving care is already making a bit of a difference, and a tiny spark of hope is emerging in her eyes. Exceptionally gentle, despite overwhelming terror with new people and new situations, we named her Candy Kisses . Candy Kisses is a Mastiff mix, about 3 years of age. She is now spayed and ready for adoption to continue her progress in a loving, calm home. Too shy to walk on a leash, we carry her from room to room, from her kennel to the play yard. Rather than stretch her legs, she would rather find someone with a soft voice and curl up beside them for reassurances. There are no instant fixes for Candy Kisses . But as she continu...

I am a big bundle of love and fun, all in one package.

Update: Bowser was adopted on February 27th! Bowser's charms are many, from his love of playing with tennis balls to his tenderness with cats and kind children. He is a handsome Mastiff with a humble, good-natured personality. He is neutered and just a year of age. An experienced home is needed due to his size and strength, and Mastiff knowledge and/or experience is strongly preferred. Bowser is at least partially housetrained, but his previous owner was unclear on whether he is fully housetrained yet. Bowser needed us when his previous owner moved into a smaller living situation. Bowser debuts for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.

I have a world of joy to share with you.

Update: Hazard was adopted on February 20th! Hazard is an American Mastiff who needed us when his previous owner was deployed overseas to fight for our country. He is very handsome, energetic, and strong-willed, a neutered male, about 2 years young. Hazard is reportedly housetrained and good with kind, mature children. While he enjoys people, we have seen him try to show aggression to other animals. It is a strict condition of his adoption that he has no access whatsoever to cats, dogs, or other animals. Please only consider Hazard if you are 100% committed to providing dog obedience training for him. Hazard debuts for adoption today. Mastiff knowledge and/or experience is required.
