Nevada SPCA Animal Rescue

Jasper glows with kindness. His angelic face and temperament brings smiles to everyone who meets him. Jasper is a well-behaved, noble German Shepherd debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA .   He is 8 years of age, neutered, housetrained, great with kids, and compatible with other dogs.    Jasper enjoys family activities and chasing tennis balls.    He needed us due to his previous family's hardship.

After losing our dog after 16 years, we tell everyone that Jasper rescued us! Here he is three-and-a-half years later at 11 years of age. Healthy, happy, and loved! Jasper is a little fellow, a youngster, with enormous personality and charisma!  One of the cutest things he does is rotate his head nearly upside down with a big grin when he sees people he knows approaching.  Jasper is 1 year of age, a small and unique blend of many breeds (with an underbite and curly-Q tail), good with other dogs, now neutered and debuting for adoption at Nevada SPCA.  He was at another shelter that ran out of space for him.

We happened to capture the moment this morning when Jasper noticed a special face. While he was getting his picture taken he saw the woman who rescued him enter the courtyard. His eyes say it all (so please double-click on the third image). Jasper is a cute and friendly boy, a blend of many small breeds (including Pomeranian, Longhair Chihuahua, and Spaniel), 6 years of age and neutered, good with other dogs, and ready for adoption today at Nevada SPCA. At the time of rescue Jasper was caught being discarded in a cardboard box and the man was "shoo-ing" Jasper away with voice and arms from getting out of the box. The woman witnessing this heartbreak happened to be a Nevada SPCA staff person and she comforted Jasper in her arms and placed him safely in the shelter with other dogs to bond and play with.

Jack Jasper Jack and Jasper are inquisitive young brothers who relish finding and hiding seeds, toys, and treats.  They are just 6 months of age, Golden hamsters, ready for adoption in the Lovebugs Room at Nevada SPCA.  Both are friendly with people and allow handling.  We rescued the boys (and 8 other hamsters and 55 more animals) from another shelter that asked for our help after they were seized from an animal center last week.  Please share the pictures of Jack and Jasper to help find them responsible, forever homes where they will be respected, appreciated, and cherished.

Jasper , a junior puppy, sees excitement and goodness in every minute!  We told him this morning that he's soon going to be in a loving home and he reacted with this huge smile.  Jasper is a steel-grey tuxedo Bully mix, 7 months of age, now neutered and debuting for adoption at Nevada SPCA.  Please puppy-proof your home and yard for his safety.  He gets along well with other friendly dogs, as long as he is fed meals and treats alone.  We rescued Jasper from another shelter that asked for our help due to his broken leg (cause of trauma unknown).  He is now healed and eager to begin his new life.

We wish we could envelop Jasper in a bubble of kindness to be absolutely certain he never knows violence again.  At the time of rescue Jasper was at another shelter that asked for our help due to severe trauma, that included bruising across his body and wheezing breath.  We don't know what Jasper endured, but he still believes in human kindness and he is drawn to gentle people and dogs.  Jasper is a Corgi & Chihuahua mix, 5 years of age and neutered, debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.

Jasper adores people and seeks a stable home with a relaxed lifestyle.  He is about 4 years of age, an attractive Toy Poodle, neutered boy, ready for adoption at Nevada SPCA.  Jasper has a low-grade heart murmur.  Medication is not needed at this time, but a routine free of exertion or temperature extremes is ideal.  We rescued Jasper from another shelter and his background is otherwise unknown.  He seems to get testy with other dogs, so being the only dog in the home may be best.  Please help find Jasper a hero.

Update 3: Tobey was adopted on March 12th! Update 2: Monty was adopted on March 11th! Update: Sandy & Jasper were adopted on March 10th! Sandy (right) and her brothers Jasper (left), Monty & Tobey are adorable little angels, sweet as can be, debuting for adoption today. They are Pomeranian mixes and we expect them to remain small in size. They spayed/neutered and approximately 3 months of age. Please carefully puppy-proof your home & yard for their safety and protection. The Pomeranian Mix Puppies have been well-socialized in a wonderful, caring foster home since their rescue -- when just 5 days old! Needless to say, a ton of love saved these motherless pups. They can be adopted separately, but please consider adopting a pair for lifelong companionship. Please be sure to plan on regular grooming care (and budget extra accordingly). Update: Jasper was adopted on July 24th! Jasper is a very cheery, excitable, fun-loving, and super cute boy. He is a Pekingese, neutered male, 4 years of age. Besides his outstanding personality, he is also well-behaved. Jasper is housetrained, good with dogs and cats, and he enjoys being with older, mature kids. Jasper lost his home because he reportedly played too rough with the family's toddler. The ideal new owner/guardian for Jasper will be someone knowledgeable about Pekingeses and committed to regular grooming care (so budget extra). Please come meet him.
