Alfonzo Guido Alfonzo & Guido are baby brothers with gentle spirits and they will melt your heart when you hold them or look into their pleading eyes. The boys have enormous, lifelong unconditional love to share with you. Alfonzo & Guido are Mexican Hairless Dog (Xoloitzcuintli) & Chihuahua mixes, now 3 months of age, neutered, and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA. Their hair loss does not affect their general health.  Precautions need to be taken to prevent sunburns.  (We had a veterinary skin specialist confirm that their hair loss is congenital and natural.) The boys are so wonderful together that we strongly prefer adopting them as a pair for lifelong companionship.  We don't generally require this with puppies and kittens, but these puppies have an especially strong bond. Please puppy-proof your home and yard for their safety and protection.

Update: Guido was adopted on February 12th! Guido is a loverboy extraordinaire! He is very affectionate and may paw at you gently to rub his tummy or cuddle with him close. But Guido keeps getting overlooked by visitors and the months have rolled by.  We asked Arica at Pet'ographique to capture his personality in one of her stunning portraits to help give him a fresh push. Guido is a distinguished Chihuahua mix, neutered, approximately 5 years of age. We rescued him from a government-funded shelter, so his background is unknown.  But we know that he loves other dogs his size and fits well into group settings.

Update: Guido was adopted on January 30th! The despicable cowardice of those who rob children and animals of their innocence, through brutality, makes us ever more resolute to find the kindest possible homes for these angels in need. How could anyone justify beating tiny Guido ? We were contacted by a veterinary hospital which was caring for him following what had been at least one severe bludgeoning. Guido is physically recovered, but his broken heart is another matter entirely. Progress with trust needs to continue in a very gentle, patient, experienced, and loving home. Guido is an adorable mix of Teacup Chihuahua & Terrier. He is neutered, just a year of age, and ready for adoption today at Nevada SPCA. Guido enjoys other dogs and he is drawn to calm, soothing people who speak softly.
