Nevada SPCA Animal Rescue

Coconut is a vibrant junior puppy debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.  She is a stunning blend of Smooth Collie and Siberian Husky, about 10 months of age and now spayed.  Coconut was found roaming in a parking lot with no sign of responsible ownership (no ID tag, no microchip ID, not spayed).  The person who captured her said she is compatible with cats, dogs, and kids, and mostly housetrained too. 

Coconut would love to be a gentle and devoted presence in your happy, stable, loving home.  He likes to hide and rest under blankets, occasionally peeking out at you to see if everything is okay.  Coconut is an attractive charcoal & white medium-hair with enchanting eyes, about 8 years of age, a neutered boy, fine with with other cats, and ready for adoption at Nevada SPCA. Update: Coconut was adopted on November 18th! We are encouraged to see a spark returning to this little girl's eyes. It is the look of a spirit coming back to life, becoming hopeful, daring to believe in people again. We rescued her from another shelter that ran out of space to keep her and we named her Coconut .  She is a Lhasa Apso, spayed, about 4 years of age. Coconut was a tangled mess, full of knots and dirt.  Her anatomy reveals that her previous owner not only severely neglected her, but exploited her repeatedly for breeding before discarding her on the streets. Shaving off years of mess and matts, a beautiful angel was revealed. Coconut is warming up to people beautifully, though understandably reserved at first.  However, she wants no part of any other dogs being around her.  At this time, she needs to be the only dog in the home. Please plan on regular professional grooming care for her so that she always looks and feels good and healthy.

Update: Coconut was adopted on October 30th! Coconut is a precious youngster with a soothing spirit. Our best guess is that he is a Toy Poodle & Maltese mix. He is neutered and just a year of age. We rescued him from another shelter. Coconut enjoys other dogs, tender grooming, and being the center of gentle attention.
