Dominique and Paris

Paris Dominique Two more of Betsy's babies -- Dominique and Paris -- are ready for adoption at Nevada SPCA . Paris likes to hold faces in her paws so she can give her puppy kisses easier. Dominique loves playing fetch and splashing around in wading pools. The sisters are 3 months of age, spayed, and very well socialized in a wonderful foster home.    Betsy, their mother, already adopted, is a Queensland Heeler mix. (Betsy and her newborns were rescued from another shelter earlier this year.) The father of the puppies is unknown.   Betsy, their mother

Betsy is a radiant youngster who loves playing in water. Please get her a mobile wading pool of some kind for endless hours of pleasure. Betsy and her five newborns were at another shelter that asked for our help. (All of her babies thrived with her nurturing care and they will be ready for adoption later this summer.) Betsy is a very friendly and jolly girl, a Queensland Heeler mix, 3 years of age, now spayed and debuting for adoption at Nevada SPCA .

Betsy, pregnant, needs a foster hero!

Betsy is expected to give birth this week! Please share her post to help find her an immediate foster home so she can birth and raise her babies in the peace and comfort of a home environment. If you can foster Betsy and her babies for approximately 12 weeks, please visit Nevada SPCA (www.nevadaspca.org) in person and ask for Wayne. Betsy is a kind, thoughtful girl, a Shih-Tzu and Poodle mix, about 8 years of age and housetrained. She sometimes favors a hind leg that broke and healed incorrectly long ago.    Betsy needed us when her previous owners moved away without her.

Betsy lounges politely and majestically, watching everyone's activities.    When she's in a playful mood, she adorably tries to catch and chase all of her toys at once, getting all of them involved. Betsy is a silver tabby medium-hair, 4 years of age and spayed, good with other cats, awaiting adoption at Nevada SPCA.

Betsy tries to play with all of her toys at once, bouncing from one to the other.  She is an exceptionally pretty and golden-eyed medium-hair feline, about 4 years of age and spayed, ready for adoption at Nevada SPCA.  Betsy is good with cats and older kids, but still love bites like a kitten, which could scare or confuse a young child.  She needed us when her previous owners moved away without her.

Please help me continue to build self-esteem and blossom.

Update: Betsy was adopted on July 22nd! It is hard enough to lose a home and the people you love and depend on. But Betsy was also pregnant when her previous owner was deployed and she faced additional trauma with all of the momentous changes. We found a very compassionate foster home for her so she could have her babies in peace. Betsy's 8 babies all survived and flourished with tender foster care. The 3 girls and 5 boys are also featured on this site, nicknamed the "Crazy 8 Doxie Puppies". Betsy is a standard Dachshund, 2 years young, now spayed and ready for adoption today. She will do best in a quieter, calmer home where she can gain confidence and feel secure. Dachshund knowledge and/or experience is preferred for her adoption. Betsy enjoys other kind, gentle dogs.

Please give me a belly rub every day.

Update: Betsy was adopted on February 9th! Bashful, humble Betsy will surprise you with her charming, loving spirit. She was rescued running the streets, desperately, full of milk. An exhaustive search for her puppies was not successful, leading us to believe that they were either taken from her way too soon and she adventured to find them, or were born deceased and she was thrown out of her home. The bottom line is that Betsy should never have been pregnant. Bully mixes like her are the most overpopulated breeds of dogs, and the most in danger of being killed on the streets or euthanized in government shelters. Betsy's future now though is bright. She is a Bully mix, spayed female, 3 years of age, debuting for adoption today. A caring foster parent for her determined that she is compatible with cats & dogs & older children. She is even crate-trained, though it is unclear whether she is fully housetrained yet. (She is eager to please, so we think she will catch on qui...

I may be in my twilight years, but this is my chance for real, devoted love.

Update: Betsy was adopted on July 30th! Betsy is a 12-year old sweetheart who finds herself starting over late in life. But this is her golden opportunity to experience the best of human nature and spend her remaining years with a person or couple who cherishes her. Betsy is a Maltese, spayed, and ready for adoption today. We rescued her from another shelter. She was terribly matted and tangled, filthy from years of severe neglect. We had Betsy groomed. Our groomer was so taken by her beauty and personality that she added some frills and got carried away with coloring (pink on her forehead). Please adopt this petite little lady and make sure she is never let down again.
