Everyone wants puppies. But will anyone want me?

Please help find a hero for Wally

He is 13 years of age, but he offers every bit as much unconditional love as a puppy, as well as enormous gratitude for the person or couple willing to open their heart to him.

Wally was found near a busy intersection with no sign of responsible ownership and he was in deplorable condition.

We had his teeth cleaned and growths removed (one above his right eye, the other on his left hip).

Wally is gentle and humble, great with other dogs, and seeking peace and dignity for his twilight years.

Please visit Nevada SPCA and ask for Wally by name.

I thought the world only offered me cruelty and suffering.

What a beautiful, extraordinary recovery Marlena has made!

She is a Miniature Poodle mix, 2 years young, a spayed girl, triumphantly debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.

In January officers confiscated her from her previous home, where she was on a chain.

She was taken to another shelter that asked for our help because she was emaciated from starvation.

Marlena has gained weight, energy, and self-esteem.  She is good with other dogs too and more trusting of people.

Please help find her a responsible, loving forever home.

I ask for your kindness and respect.

Miss Taro is a gentle, beautiful young girl ready to discover what a stable, responsible, loving home feels like.

Her previous owner reportedly admitted to making her live in a small birdcage and said she was simply "unwanted".

Miss Taro is actually a treasure and deserves to be treated with compassion and respect.  She is a Marten mix bunny, about 18 months of age, now spayed and ready for adoption at Nevada SPCA.

Special thanks to Pet'ographique for these elegant portraits to help her find a forever home.

The Seven Wonders Puppies debuting for adoption today!

Aladdin, baby boy

Ariel, baby girl

Figaro, baby boy

Flora, baby girl

Hera, baby girl

Hercules, baby boy

Marian, baby girl
"The Seven Wonders Puppies" are playful, but camera-shy babies debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.

At the time of rescue they were just 5 weeks of age, with no mom in sight, and their previous owner was trying to hand them away to strangers in front of a grocery store.

We placed the babies in loving foster homes for nurturing care and all survived.

Three are boys and four are girls, and all are now spayed/neutered and approximately 3 months of age.

Our best guess at this time is that one of their parents was likely a Chihuahua and the other a medium-size dog of blended breeds, making them wonderfully unique.

I want to be your loyal, lifelong golden boy.

Belvedere is an endearing, polite little gentleman who would love to be your lifelong butler, personal assistant, and family member.

He is a handsome Chihuahua, about 5 years of age, neutered, good with other dogs, and ready for adoption at Nevada SPCA..

At the time of rescue Belvedere had been abandoned on Las Vegas Boulevard near a casino resort.

Very special thanks to Pet'ographique for these three incredible portraits to help Belvedere find a loving, forever home.

Can you find someone to love me?

How can Travis, a 2-year-old youngster, look so weathered far beyond his years?

The veterinarians believe it's the result of severe skin burns (especially on his nose, ears, tail) and insect bites, painting a picture of a loveless home where he was stuck outdoors without shelter.

Travis is tiny, just 7 pounds, and he still believes in people and begs for kindness.  He is an adorable Chihuahua, a neutered boy, great with other dogs, debuting for adoption at Nevada SPCA.

Please help us find a hero for Travis.  His skin is healing and he's very eager to know what a loving home feels like.

Please be patient with me. I want to trust and improve.

Kai was still too shy to look directly at the camera this morning.

But we are proud of the progress this sensitive boy is making with trust and confidence, thanks to tender care and attention from volunteers and staff.

Kai is a good-looking Lab-Pointer, 4 years of age, neutered, and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.

He was found abandoned near one of the busiest, most perilous intersections in Las Vegas with no sign of responsible ownership.

It's clear Kai came from a loveless home, perhaps even a violent one.  Please help us find Kai a serene home environment where he can realize his full loving potential.

Sammy needs a hero.

Sammy's mom went into a rest home and he misses her.
Please help us find him a hero.
Sammy is a petite Dachshund with a gentle, friendly spirit, reportedly 10 years of age (but we suspect older), a neutered boy, debuting for adoption this morning at Nevada SPCA.
He is housetrained and great with other dogs.
Sammy's cupped ears and blue sunburst in his right eye further reflect his cuteness. We had his teeth cleaned and a growth removed from his chest.
Sammy is now ready to share his unconditional love with someone wonderful during his twilight years.

I will bless you with all of my unconditional devotion.

We love that Pet'ographique photographed Sandy on flower petals because this sensitive girl is indeed a blooming rose.

She has enormous unconditional devotion to bestow on the person who will love and care for her for life.

Sandy is a small, endearing Mastiff mix, 2 years young, spayed, and ready for adoption at Nevada SPCA.

She cuddles and bonds beautifully with kind people who speak sweetly to her.

Sandy may be compatible with some dogs, though she appears to be picky about which dogs she likes.

Please help us find Sandy a wonderful, responsible, forever home.

I want to be loved.

Spice is a playful baby girl who is now ready to steal your heart and become a cherished member of a forever family.

She is very petite at 4 months, so we expect her to grow to smaller size than most Bully mixes.

Earlier this year Spice had been surrendered to a veterinary hospital and she was dangerously ill with parvo.

We rescued her, and thanks to our advanced medical care fund, provided her with extensive veterinary care to save her life.

Spice has now made a full and complete recovery!  She is very loving, spayed, and debuting for adoption this morning at Nevada SPCA.

To donate to help with Spice's veterinary care or to help us save more animals in desperate need.

Foxy, a heroic girl who wants to belong to a family who will treasure her.

When a criminal invaded the home, it was Foxy who heroically chased him out and saved her previous family.

Foxy is a loyal young girl, very eager to please, housetrained and crate-trained.

She is a unique, long-legged blend of many breeds, just as much Greyhound as Bully, 3 years of age, now spayed and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.

Foxy loves playing or going for walks, then taking naps in the sun.

She lost her previous home because she and her sibling began squabbling. But we suspect that could have been due to the dogs not being spayed/neutered, so Foxy may be compatible with some dogs.

Please visit and ask for this extraordinary girl by name.

Once I know you are kind I will shower you with affection.

Phoenix is a shy junior kitten, but once he trusts you he loves belly rubs and purring heartily while you brush him.

Phoenix is an exceptionally attractive boy, perhaps a Ragdoll & Siamese mix, about 7 months of age, now neutered and ready for adoption at Nevada SPCA.  Please kitten-proof your home for his safety.

He has been lovingly raised in a foster home since his rescue from abandonment on the streets.

Special thanks to Pet'ographique for these adorable portraits to help him find a responsible, indoor-only, forever home.

I despaired for my babies when we were abandoned, but a loving foster home was our miracle.

Update: Maxine has been adopted!

Maxine is an angelic, cuddly young girl debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.

Maxine and her four newborns (just days old) were dumped at a police station in January.

We placed Maxine and her babies in a loving foster home so she could raise and nurture them in peace and comfort.

Maxine is now spayed and ready for a forever home.  Her babies remain in foster care but will soon be ready for adoption too.

Maxine is a beautiful, petite Toy & Terrier mix, 1 year of age, housetrained, crate-trained, and compatible with cats and dogs.

She loves to snuggle and play fetch.

They discarded me like trash.

Chesapeake is one of many dogs rescued this year from dumpsters.
This used to only happen a few times annually -- always terribly disturbing, and certainly a reflection on the person acting so cruelly rather than anything to do with the animals.
Sadly, dumpster discarding of animals seems to be becoming more commonplace and we worry about all of those who are not found in time to be saved.
Chesapeake is a gentle soul, an Italian Greyhound & Chihuahua mix, 5 years of age, a spayed girl, good with other calm dogs, debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.
She is an emotional, loving being who deserves to be cherished and showered with kindness.

I want to comfort everyone around me.

Reina is a young girl, but she is very maternal and likes to mother other cats and comfort them.

She is beautiful in spirit and appearance, 2 years of age, now spayed and ready for adoption at Nevada SPCA.

Reina is very social and cries if she gets lonely, so we prefer adopting her to a home with another cat.

At the time of rescue Reina was found on the streets, and pregnant.  Veterinarians believed that due to extreme stress of abandonment, she miscarried four kittens.

Special thanks to Pet'ographique for these terrific portraits to help her find an indoor-only, forever home.

I feel reborn.

Bruno is achieving a beautiful transformation and his personality is blooming!

He was found abandoned outdoors, matted to the skin across his whole body, a victim of neglect many months or even years in the making.

Bruno has been cleaned and shaved, and now eats premium food anytime he chooses without worry or fear of hunger.  So the world is not looking like such a scary or cruel place anymore.

Bruno is a charcoal Persian mix, about 6 years of age, good with other cats, now neutered and debuting triumphantly for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.

Tell me that you are happy with me.

Paisley survived a house fire and we continued her treatment for smoke inhalation.

Her previous family decided to surrender her to Nevada SPCA so Paisley could find a loving home as soon as possible, because their housing situation could remain unsettled for many months, or longer.

Paisley is a gentle, very good-natured Saint Bernard, 5 years of age, spayed, housetrained, good with dogs and mature kids, and she debuts for adoption today.

She is blind in her left eye from an old injury.

Paisley enjoys stuffed animal toys and likes to hear you tell her that you're happy with her.

Harmony just wants to be loved.

Harmony was abandoned on a busy street in front of a large charitable organization in Vegas that focuses on helping people in financial distress.

She was in filthy, poor condition, with dental problems, and no sign of responsible ownership.

Harmony is a tiny, super sweet Toy & Chihuahua mix, 10 years of age.  She is now cleaned, groomed, eating premium food, spayed, and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.

We had dental care provided for her, including numerous extractions.

Harmony likes other calm dogs and a gentle home where she will be cherished for her twilight years is ideal.

Donny, a peaceful boy traumatized by repeated violence.

When Donny was turned into another shelter, his previous owner reportedly said his injuries were from repeated attacks by other dogs. Donny's hind right leg was severely broken beyond repair.

We rescued Donny and had his amputation surgery performed at a local veterinary clinic.

Despite being plump, he is healing very well and adjusting to life on three legs.  Donny is a Chi-Weenie (Chihuahua & Dachshund mix) with a jolly temperament, 9 years of age, a neutered boy, ready for adoption at Nevada SPCA.

Please help us find him a responsible, violence-free, loving forever home.
