Maybe I had given up hope that I would ever really be loved.

It's not too late for 9-year-old Connor to finally realize what a stable, loving home feels like.

Emotionally, he is recovering from abuse.  Physically, he is challenged with arthritis and diminished vision and hearing.

The only thing known about his background is that an officer confiscated Connor from his previous home and took him to a government-funded shelter, which in turn asked for our help.

Connor likes other friendly dogs and he still believes in the goodness of people, though he warms slowly to strangers.

He is an Australian Shepherd mix, 9 years of age and neutered, debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.

There can be rich emotional rewards with adopting seniors and other animals with special challenges.

Will you please help us find Connor a hero?
