Junebug's valiant recovery from being caught in an escalator.

Junebug's hind left foot with just one toe can be seen in the palm of her holder's hand (by his thumb).
Junebug is a tiny, 4-pound angel who survived an enormous, horrifying trauma -- having her foot caught in an escalator -- and today she triumphantly debuts for adoption at Nevada SPCA.

When we rescued Junebug last month at another shelter, her hind left foot was severely maimed.  We took her to a veterinary hospital for advanced care and they were able to save one of her four toes, thereby enabling her to keep her leg.  Junebug is still adjusting to the effects of the tragedy and can only walk on her hind leg for very short distances.

Junebug loves to be held and reassured.  She is 2 years young, spayed, and good with other gentle dogs.  Please help us find her a hero for a most responsible and loving forever home, and a leisurely and tender lifestyle.

[Note: Thank you very much to donors to Nevada SPCA's advanced veterinary care fund for making Junebug's rescue and rehabilitation possible!]
