I hope to never feel the sting of rejection again.

Ellie is a beautiful, sensitive, 94-pound Great Dane debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.

She is drawn to kind people, and as she warms to you she begins leaning against you and gently bonding.

Ellie is about 5 years of age and now spayed.  She seems to be fine with some large dogs, but we do not yet know if she is compatible with small dogs.  Great Dane knowledge is needed for her adoption.

All we can say for certain about Ellie's past is that she is recovering from heartbreak and had been in an inadequate, irresponsible home.  The person who surrendered her said she found Ellie abandoned in the desert, but this person's vitriolic conduct suggested to us that there may have been more to the story.

Regardless, Ellie deserves better and cannot be saddled with the failings of the people who have had her before.

The stitches on the top left side of her head are from the removal and repair of a growth and wound.

Please help us find Ellie a responsible, stable home where she is never failed again.
