When least expected, I became a hero!

Homeless at 12 years of age, with massive tumors on her neck and side, Harli may be the unlikeliest of heroes.  But her fortunes have taken a miraculous turn for her and another senior dog!

Harli was surrendered to us a few days ago by her previous owner, who lost the family home to foreclosure.  Her tumors have advanced to the point that a veterinarian recommended we find her a hospice-like home to keep her comfortable during her remaining months.  She is not suffering, so there is no reason to end her life.  She was adopted to a woman named Teresa, with a senior dog named Jasper, also a Bully mix.  Jasper adores Harli and he is overjoyed with his new sister.  Teresa says that Jasper's tail hasn't stopped wagging since Harli joined their family.  And Jasper is going blind, so Harli is helping him handle this disability and keeping his spirits uplifted.  Teresa is our hero, and Harli's hero, but Harli is Jasper's hero!
