We are hopeful for a Christmas miracle -- a loving forever home.

Jellybean & Licorice
Update: Jellybean & Licorice were adopted on December 22nd!

If only it was all about personality, then Jellybean & Licorice, a super-sweet and cheery sister-brother team, would have been snatched up by someone wonderful immediately after debuting for adoption.

But the months have rolled by, as it often does for mixed breed dogs who are larger than Toy size and have black coats.  Nationwide, as we have written here before, these dogs are mistakenly overlooked in shelters.

Pet'ographique has very generously helped us spotlight this pair of superstars with a brand new professional portrait, showing them at their eager, humble, gracious best.

If you have room for a pair of soul-mates, then we urge you to consider Jellybean & Licorice.  They are medium-size Retriever mixes (smaller than most Retrievers), spayed/neutered, about 6 years of age.  Jellybean is a bit more petite than her tuxedo-clad brother Licorice.

We rescued them from the mean streets last summer.  They have waited so patiently, while watching thousands of other dogs being adopted instead.  Please double-click their portrait to see it in full size and look into their eyes.
