To know me is to love me.

Update: Chello was adopted on February 5th! Chello is a gorgeous girl, inside & out. She is a Cocker Spaniel, spayed, about 4 years of age. She is shy with new people, but we believe this is primarily due to her confusion at the moment with losing her previous home (due to a child's allergies to her). Chello is a generally cheerful, friendly, joyous sweetheart. She is reportedly housetrained and fine with kind, older children. Chello enjoys other dogs and may do best in a home with other dogs. Chello debuts for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.

Perhaps I will admit to wanting you all for myself.

Update: Coda is in medical treatment and we hope to have him back in Adoptions next week. Coda lost his home due to being "too dominant" with another Pekingese. He is a gallant, handsome youngster debuting for adoption today. Coda is a Pekingese, neutered male, just a year of age. He is generally well-behaved, being housetrained & crate-trained, and good with older, gentle children. Please plan on regular grooming care for Coda and budget extra accordingly.

My unconditional love is priceless.

Update: Jill was adopted on February 19th! Jill's very sweet temperament positively glows in her cheery smiles. She is an older girl, but still plenty full of wonder for life. Jill is a Chihuahua, spayed, just over 10 years of age. She reportedly lost her home due to someone in her previous family being allergic to her. Jill debuts for adoption today. She is housetrained (with a doggie door) and compatible with other dogs and mature kids.

I like to make Happy Feet.

Update: Spa was adopted on February 6th! Spa is a very handsome, contented senior, unassuming and affectionate. He enjoys snuggling, and he will have your heart in flip-flops with his lopsided meow-ing. Spa is an orange & white medium hair with golden eyes, neutered male, about 10 years of age. He loves to follow you around and be showered with your love. Spa often stretches & patters his paws, sometimes called "making bread" or "having happy feet", and this is a reflection of his gratitude and good spirit. Spa is available for adoption today at Nevada SPCA. Please ask for him by name. We rescued Spa from another shelter. Like all of the cats we rescue and adopt, he strictly requires an indoor-only home where he will be cherished as a member of the family.

I love being pampered and groomed.

Update: Curley was adopted on July 17th! Curley is very aptly named. His unique coat is one of the curliest we have seen of the many thousands of cats rescued by Nevada SPCA through the years. He is a big, loving boy rescued from a desert area where he stood no chance of survival on his own. Curley gets along well with other cats and adores receiving affection and attention from kind people. He is neutered, about 2 years young, and available for adoption in the free-roaming Cat Condo playrooms at Nevada SPCA. Please ask for this sweetheart by name. Curley needs regular brushing and grooming, at least twice weekly, so please plan accordingly.

I cannot understand why I was beaten.

Update: Guido was adopted on January 30th! The despicable cowardice of those who rob children and animals of their innocence, through brutality, makes us ever more resolute to find the kindest possible homes for these angels in need. How could anyone justify beating tiny Guido ? We were contacted by a veterinary hospital which was caring for him following what had been at least one severe bludgeoning. Guido is physically recovered, but his broken heart is another matter entirely. Progress with trust needs to continue in a very gentle, patient, experienced, and loving home. Guido is an adorable mix of Teacup Chihuahua & Terrier. He is neutered, just a year of age, and ready for adoption today at Nevada SPCA. Guido enjoys other dogs and he is drawn to calm, soothing people who speak softly.

Please give me a belly rub every day.

Update: Betsy was adopted on February 9th! Bashful, humble Betsy will surprise you with her charming, loving spirit. She was rescued running the streets, desperately, full of milk. An exhaustive search for her puppies was not successful, leading us to believe that they were either taken from her way too soon and she adventured to find them, or were born deceased and she was thrown out of her home. The bottom line is that Betsy should never have been pregnant. Bully mixes like her are the most overpopulated breeds of dogs, and the most in danger of being killed on the streets or euthanized in government shelters. Betsy's future now though is bright. She is a Bully mix, spayed female, 3 years of age, debuting for adoption today. A caring foster parent for her determined that she is compatible with cats & dogs & older children. She is even crate-trained, though it is unclear whether she is fully housetrained yet. (She is eager to please, so we think she will catch on qui

They say I am a truly ageless beauty.

Update: Adrian was adopted on February 9th! Mild-mannered Adrian is trying to keep her spirits up after losing the only home she has known. Her previous family lost their home to foreclosure. Adrian is a Miniature Pinscher, spayed female, 11 years of age. It would be a mistake to overlook her simply based on age. She has every bit the love to share with you, unconditionally, and there is plenty of spring in her step. Adrian is good with other calm dogs, reportedly fine with cats and mature kids, and housetrained (with a doggie door). Adrian debuts for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.

The divorce left me with nobody.

Image
Update: Ivan was adopted on January 30th! Ivan's gentle spirit glows. He is a darling young boy with a quieter nature who debuts for adoption today. Ivan is a Miniature Schnauzer mix, neutered male, just over a year of age. He is well-behaved -- compatible with dogs and older children, plus housetrained & crate-trained. Please plan on professional grooming care for Ivan at least four times a year, budgeting accordingly. He needed us when a divorce cost him both owners.

I am on the lookout for a loving home.

Image
Update: Harley was adopted on January 29th! Harley is a zany, outgoing, friendly, and handsome young boy. He is most likely a Shepherd & Shiba Inu mix. He is medium-sized, neutered, and just a year of age. Harley needed us because his previous family's living situation was restricted to companion animals under 25 pounds. He is full of love, compatible with cats & dogs & kind children, plus housetrained & crate-trained too. Harley debuts for adoption today.

Provide training for me and help me become a well-behaved boy.

Image
Update: Johnny Appleseed was adopted on February 2nd! Johnny Appleseed is an outgoing, fun-loving, affectionate puppy with a smile full of innocence. He is an American Bulldog mix, neutered male, approximately 5 months young. He may grow to large size. Bully breed knowledge and/or experience is strongly preferred for Johnny Appleseed's adoption. Please only consider him if you are 100% committed, willing and able to provide basic dog obedience training to help channel his energies into good behaviors. Johnny Appleseed debuts for adoption today.

Gain my trust and I will bless you with my love forever.

Image
Update: Shadow was adopted on January 30th! Shadow is a warm-hearted boy with those he knows and respects. But trust does not come easy for him with new people and he can be anxious in new situations. An experienced, patient, and gentle home will help Shadow gain the confidence he needs to relax his fears and open his heart. Shadow is a Pomeranian, neutered male, about 4 years of age. Besides being good with dogs, he is reportedly fine with cats, plus housetrained too. Please plan on regular grooming care for him. Shadow debuts for adoption today.

Please help the sparkle return to my eyes.

Image
Update: Lisa was adopted on February 6th! Tranquil and sedate, Lisa just has a small flicker of joy for life at the moment. The victim of substantial neglect, she appears to have given much hope for the future. We know Lisa will bloom though, and beautifully, as she comes to realize the potential for love in her future. She is a pretty Bichon Frise mix, spayed female, about 5 years of age, debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA. Please ensure that Lisa gets to spend time with other dogs and has professional grooming care at least quarterly. Adopt Lisa and show her the wonders of being loved and cherished every day.

Adopt me for a lifetime of adorable entertainment.

Image
Update: Johnny was adopted on January 28th! Johnny is an amusing, playful puppy with very expressive eyes. He is a Heinz 57, perhaps with Shepherd &/or Retriever, and we expect him to grow to medium size. He is neutered and about 3 months of age. Johnny enjoys other dogs and may love getting help learning about the world from a big brother or sister dog. Like many puppies, he "piddles" (involuntarily releases a small amount of urine) when especially excited or fearful. It is critically important not to punish him for this behavior which he cannot control. Most puppies grow out of this as their bodies and minds mature. Johnny debuts for adoption today.

We are sisters and we are soul-mates.

Image
Update: Shiro & Akai were adopted together on March 26th! Shiro & Akai are rustic, wise, gentle spirits. They have been together their entire lives. Eleven loving years. But Shiro & Akai lost the only home and family they had ever known (due to financial collapse). We are concerned about them lapsing into severe depression, but so far, having each other still, we are succeeding in keeping their spirits up under the circumstances. Shiro & Akai are Labrador Retriever mixes, spayed, and debuting for adoption today. The girls are reportedly compatible with cats & dogs & gentle children. They are reportedly partially housetrained, but have accidents if not let outside often enough. They just need your good guidance and a steady lifestyle routine in order to keep from having indoor accidents. Please visit and ask for Shiro & Akai by name. These sweethearts need and deserve to finish their lives with love and dignity.

Why did I lose my family when I did nothing wrong?

Image
Update: Amy was adopted on February 4th! Mellow and sweet, Amy is a beautiful senior looking to share her devotion and loyalty with someone new. She is a Border Collie, spayed female, about 10 years of age, debuting for adoption today. Amy needed us because her previous family moved into an apartment that does not allow dogs. This is particularly tragic because there are numerous apartment complexes throughout the valley that allow dogs of various sizes. Amy is very well-behaved. She is good with cats & dogs & mature kids, and housetrained & crate-trained. Please do not turn away from Amy or any other seniors just based on their age alone. Seniors have a world of unconditional love to share too.

Boston Terriers like me can be quite energetic.

Image
Update: Pappa was adopted on January 27th! Pappa is a flamboyant, alert, fun youngster. He is a Boston Terrier, neutered male, about a year of age. Pappa needed us due to his previous owner's financial collapse. Besides being compatible with some other dogs, he is reportedly good with kind, older children, plus housetrained too. Pappa debuts for adoption today. Boston Terrier knowledge and/or experience is strongly preferred for his adoption.

Every day is like a carnival to me.

Update: Gunner was adopted on February 9th! Gunner is so full of good cheer and a zest for life that his fun-loving nature beams and glows from his ready smiles. He is most likely a Rhodesian Ridgeback mix. He is neutered, just a year of age, and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA. Besides enjoying other dogs, Gunner reportedly loves kind children and he is housetrained (with a doggie door). Gunner needed us because his previous owner felt he was too destructive. But this very social boy was admittedly banished to the garage at night, bored to tears, so it is no surprise if he looked for things to chew to console his loneliness. Adopt Gunner, or any other companion animal for that matter, only if you can make him an integral member of your family, and please include him in activities and let him live predominantly indoors with you.

Please tuck me in each night and let me sleep under the covers with you.

Image
Update: Stella was adopted on January 27th! Stella loves going for walks, but even more, she adores having you gently pull the covers up around her at night so she can peacefully dream throughout the night by your side. She is a pretty Italian Greyhound, spayed female, two years young, debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA. While she is indeed a little princess, Stella enjoys the simple, meaningful things in life, mostly your loving attention. Besides having Italian Greyhound knowledge and/or experience, Stella needs an owner who will be patient with her finicky eating habits and housetraining routine. (She reportedly uses a combination of going outdoors and pee pads for privacy.) Stella enjoys other sweet, calm dogs.

Sunshine follows me wherever I go.

Image
Update: Rupert was adopted on January 27th! Lovable Rupert's sunny personality gives him enormous charm. He is a good-natured Beagle, neutered male, about one year of age. Rupert is ready and able to fit into most lifestyles and living situations. Besides being good with children and dogs, he is reportedly housetrained & crate-trained too. He needed us when his owner moved away and decided not to keep him a part of the family. Please ask for this spectacular boy by name. Rupert debuts for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.

I am zany, yes, but in the most adorable of ways.

Image
Update: Mercedes was adopted on January 27th! Mercedes is an outgoing, theatrical girl with a heart of gold. She is a beautiful Saint Bernard, spayed, about 5 years young. Mercedes needed us due to her previous owner's severe allergies. We believe she is housetrained, but this is not confirmed. (She lived indoors, according to her previous owner.) Please plan on regular brushing and grooming care for Mercedes and plan accordingly. Saint Bernard knowledge and/or experience is required for her adoption.

Adopt me for a lifetime of unconditional love.

Image
Update: Dewey was adopted on January 28th! Suave. Handsome. Friendly. Behaved. Loving. These words all fit Dewey , an attractive Dachshund who debuts for adoption today at Nevada SPCA. He is neutered and about 4 years of age. Besides being compatible with other sweet dogs, he is reportedly fine with kind, older children, and housetrained & crate-trained too. Dewey needed us because someone in his previous family was too allergic to him. Dachshund knowledge and/or experience is preferred for his adoption.

Watch out or we will sneak up on you with kisses.

Image
Update: Simba & Princess were adopted together on February 4th! Simba & Princess , most likely brother & sister, despite their varied good looks, are bubbly youngsters with very affectionate natures. They are Dachshunds, neutered and spayed, just past a year of age. Simba & Princess are soul-mates and want and need to remain together forever. They needed us because their owner became seriously ill and could no longer care for them. Simba & Princess love to play with rope toys. They are good with other dogs, and reportedly housetrained & crate-trained. Dachshund knowledge and/or experience is preferred for their adoption. Simba & Princess debut for adoption today.

Please plan to spend lots of time with me.

Image
Zeppelin is a very social, fun-loving rabbit with a mousy appearance. He is quite unique, most likely a mixture of at least three bunny breeds: Holland Mini Lop, Dwarf, and Himalayan. Zeppelin is neutered, about one year young, and ready for adoption today. He needed us because his owner said a family member was allergic to him. Zeppelin is one of more than 60 rescued, spayed/neutered rabbits awaiting forever homes at Nevada SPCA. Please ask for this sweet, small boy by name.

I belong indoors, loved and safe.

Image
Update: Alaska was adopted on February 6th! Alaska is a gorgeous, sweet young girl ready for adoption today in Nevada SPCA's free-roaming Cat Condo playrooms. She is an Angora mix with a snow-white medium-hair coat, spayed, about 2 years of age. This light green-eyed lady was found in a park with bleeding paws. The person who rescued her was employed at a veterinary clinic and she took Alaska in for medical care. Alaska recovered well. She looks forward to a loving home of her own where she will always remain strictly indoors for her protection. Please note she needs brushing at least once or twice weekly, so please plan accordingly.

I tried so hard to please her, but I was rejected anyway.

Image
Update: Nina was adopted on February 6th! At Nevada SPCA we require that those adopting puppies and kittens have previous experience with companion animals. Babies are so much more work and require a great deal of good guidance to develop into balanced, well-adjusted adults. Like so many other youngsters, Nina was in the hands of an owner who apparently was not willing or able to guide her properly. Nina though is ready to shine and bloom. She is anxious to please you and earn your appreciation. She is an intelligent puppy, an Australian Shepherd mix, spayed female, about 8 months young. She enjoys other dogs and she will do best with a lifestyle that gives her both physical and mental exercise. Nina debuts for adoption today.

I was in labor and excruciating trauma for 2 days.

Image
Update: Trudi was adopted on January 23rd! A baby herself, Trudi should have never been having babies. Her story helps exemplify the absolute importance of spay/neuter of companion animals. Her previous owner called us in a horrible panic. Trudi was trying to give birth to her puppies but one of them was dead and stuck halfway outside of her. Her previous owner could not (or would not, we don't know) provide the emergency care needed, so we rescued her and rushed her into surgery at a veterinary hospital. A C-section was performed. Trudi's other puppy died very shortly afterwards, despite exhaustive efforts to save him. The surgery though did save Trudi . She has had time to recover and be spayed, and she now debuts for adoption today. Trudi is a Teacup Chihuahua, barely a year of age. She is fine with other sweet, gentle dogs and she loves to be held and reassured. This petite angel needs and deserves a responsible owner who will commit to her for her entire lifetime.

Please let me stay with my brother forever.

Image
Update: Kahlua & Murdoch were adopted together on February 27th! Kahlua (pictured here) and his brother Murdoch are very sweet, good natured, lovable, plump older boys. They are Beagles, neutered, about 8 years of age, debuting for adoption today. We rescued Kahlua & Murdoch from another shelter. They were surrendered there when their family moved away without them. The previous owners though did fill out personality profiles on the dogs which were helpful. Besides being good with other dogs, they are reportedly housetrained and compatible with kind children. Kahlua & Murdoch are very strongly bonded. They have lived their entire lives together want to stay with each other through their lifetimes.

Basic dog training will help channel my energy into good behaviors.

Image
Update: Macks was adopted on March 19th! Golden-eyed Macks has a fun-loving temperament that shines brilliantly. He is a handsome Chocolate Labrador Retriever, neutered male, about one year of age. Macks needed us because his previous owner was deployed overseas with the military. He reportedly enjoys playing with other good-natured dogs. Please only consider him if you are 100% willing and able to provide basic dog obedience training for him. He is eager to please, but needs positive direction from you. Macks debuts for adoption today.

We did not ask to be born.

Image
Update: Flora & Fuchia were adopted together on January 22nd! Flora & Fuchia , sisters, angelic puppies with loving natures, long for the peace-of-mind that comes with a loving home where they will be cherished. The girls are reportedly Chihuahua & Dachshund & Miniature Pinscher mix puppies, 3 months young, left behind when they could not be sold, traded, or otherwise given away. Flora & Fuchia are now spayed and ready for adoption. Please carefully puppy-proof your home and yard for their safety and protection. Flora & Fuchia can be adopted separately. But preference is given to adopting them together for lifelong love and companionship.

Please help me gain self-esteem.

Image
Update: Jude was adopted on January 30th! Tender-hearted Jude has a gentle, humble spirit. Exceptionally timid with new people and in new situations, she nevertheless is making some progress with confidence, trying to overcome the damage done to her soul by an abuser. Jude is a very pretty, medium-sized Heinz 57 with Shepherd, spayed female, about 5-6 years of age. Jude is compatible with other dogs and kind, older children. She is reportedly partially housetrained, but since her previous owner banished her to living predominantly outdoors, which is unacceptable on many levels, she may need your guidance and a steady routine to return to full housetraining. Jude debuts for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.

I was the victim of being used as a pawn in a family squabble.

Image
Update: Ellie was adopted on January 23rd! Countless animals lose their homes and families, often with tragic results, when they get caught in the middle of domestic disputes. Ellie was surrendered to us by her previous owner because he had a fight with his young son. This is a stark reminder to all of us how far we have yet to go with many people to get them to realize that companion animals are innocent, loving beings who deserve devoted commitment, rather than being treated like toys or property. Ellie is a gorgeous, animated puppy, jubilant and sweet. She is a Chocolate Labrador Retriever puppy, spayed female, about 4 months of age. She is already housetrained, reportedly. Ellie debuts for adoption today. She certainly deserves better, beginning with a lifelong commitment, with her new adopter.

A quiet life is a good life for me.

Image
Update: Alexis was adopted on January 23rd! Yes, she has challenges, but the miracle for Alexis is that she is now free from the demeaning, cold existence of a puppy mill. And her future is about to become full of love. She debuts for adoption today and anxiously awaits her first-ever loving home. Alexis is a Maltese, about 5 years of age. She is now spayed and ready for adoption. She is a petite girl, but plenty vocal if you dare try to ignore her. She cherishes your attention and reassurances. Alexis may do best with another dog in the home to help her adjust to living indoors as a member of the family. Please also be sure to plan on regular professional grooming for her. Besides the puppy mill past, Alexis is living with a grade 4 (of 6) heart murmur and requires medication for this the rest of her life. She needs a calm lifestyle routine and please consult your veterinarian for further guidance. Alexis is on the verge of a great awakening for a loving future. Please visit

He abused my innocence and my trust.

Image
Update: Meeko was adopted on January 23rd! An adult male living in Meeko's previous home was secretly abusing him. He was witnessed severely kicking him, and you can only imagine the horrors and sadism he endured. Thankfully, Meeko is now safe with us. But trust takes him time. He now knows what humans are arbitrarily capable of, so he picks the people he bonds with carefully. Meeko is very warm-hearted with those he chooses, and we're thrilled with his progress so far. This needs to continue in a new, committed, loving, and gentle home. Meeko is a Miniature Poodle, neutered male, about 6 years of age. He is compatible with other friendly dogs. Please plan on regular professional grooming for him. He also needs your patience and good guidance to complete housetraining, apparently suffering some setbacks with urination in the house, most likely related to his previous abuse. Meeko needs and deserves to only see the good side of human nature from now on.

If you are looking for a devoted girl, then your search is over.

Image
Update: Honey was adopted on January 23rd! A very loving, loyal girl, Honey is aptly named. She is a medium size Heinz 57 with Retriever, chocolate & tan with warm brown eyes, spayed, about 3 years young. Honey can fit beautifully into most families. Besides being housetrained, she enjoys children, cats, and other dogs. She is often mellow, but playing with tennis balls initiates playtime and good cheer. Honey needed us because her previous family lost their home to foreclosure. Honey debuts for adoption today.

I never want to lose my loved ones again.

Image
Update: Smokey was adopted on January 30th! Smokey is a radiant youngster with a glowing personality. He is a Dachshund, neutered male, about 3 years young. Smokey needed us because his previous owners moved into a housing situation where dogs are not allowed. This is such a shame because there are apartments and houses in all price ranges throughout the valley which welcome pets and allow families to stay together. Smokey is compatible with other sweet dogs, and reportedly fine with cats and kind, mature children. Dachshund knowledge and/or experience is preferred for his adoption.

I cannot hear your words, but I can easily read your body language.

Image
Update: Lily was adopted on January 21st! Tiny, yet theatrical, Lily is as adorable as they come, completely precious. She is most likely a Shih-Tzu and Chihuahua mix, spayed female, about 3 months of age. We expect her to remain small in size. Lily was surrendered to us because she is deaf. Please only consider her if you are fully committed to her for her entire life and you are willing and able to learn and use consistent hand signals to communicate with her. Also, Lily will need you to take extra careful precautions puppy-proofing your home and yard for her safety and protection. Lily debuts for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.

I do not want to be lonely anymore.

Image
Update: Rush was adopted on January 21st! Rush is an exceptionally attractive youngster who yearns desperately to be an integral part of a loving family. He is a Siberian Husky, neutered male, 2 years young, debuting for adoption today. Rush reportedly loves kind children. But his family gave him up for being "destructive". Digging a bit deeper, it was clear why he was acting out. He did not get to live indoors, but instead spent most of his time alone outdoors, terribly bored. Please be patient with Rush and help him adjust to living predominantly indoors with you. He is a smart boy and we anticipate he will catch on quickly to please you.

The possibility of a bright, loving future makes me in awe of the possibilities.

Image
Update: Evanescence was adopted on February 3rd! Evanescence has golden eyes which we believe accurately reflect a golden soul. She is a petite, shorthair Torbie, spayed female, just a year of age. Evanescence is an inquisitive girl who seems drawn most to gentle people. She enjoys other cats and she has an endearing innocence. Her previous owner surrendered her without a reason. Like the vast majority of animals discarded in shelters and with rescue groups, she did nothing wrong and did not deserve her rejection. Evanescence is ready for adoption today in the free-roaming Cat Condo playrooms at Nevada SPCA, along with 200 other rescued sweethearts. All need and deserve indoor-only homes with committed, loving owners.

I am full of love, but they said I was a nuisance.

Image
Bardot is a fitting name for this young lady with superstar good looks. She is a Lop rabbit with Chinchilla markings, spayed, about 18 months of age. Bardot also has a beautiful temperament and humble personality. Her previous owner surrendered her and said that caring for her was "too much work". But Bardot does not appear to have any special needs. She is an exceptionally sweet girl who will fit in well in a loving, committed, indoor-only home. She is one of more than 60 rescued, spayed/neutered rabbits for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.

They tell me I am gorgeous, but I am still building self-esteem and confidence.

Image
Update: Sophie was adopted on January 26th! Sophie is a precious young girl with a gentle spirit. She is a bit timid with new people and in new situations, but making some progress. A steady lifestyle routine in a quieter home will go far to helping her adjust and let her guard down. Sophie is a Yorkshire Terrier, spayed, about 2-3 years young. She debuts for adoption today. She needed us when her previous owner lost his job and could no longer care for her. Sophie enjoys other sweet dogs and she is reportedly fine with older, mature kids. Please plan on regular grooming care for her (so budget extra), and plenty of patience and good guidance to help her complete housetraining. (She is reportedly crate-trained, but not yet fully housetrained.) Addendum: Sophie reportedly has separation anxiety (perhaps due to losing so many homes). This can be diminished with time and patience and a steady lifestyle routine, but there are no instant fixes. Experienced home required.

Almost all hope was gone for me.

Image
Update: Chiple was adopted on January 23rd! Fully recovered now, Chiple has a spring in his step. And his energetic, scrappy, strong-willed personality has emerged, making him quite a handful. We are thrilled he is realizing his potential. Chiple is a Longhair Chihuahua puppy, neutered male, about 10 months young. At the time of rescue he was very sick with the dreaded parvo virus. His previous owner was unable or unwilling to give him the emergency medical care needed to save his life. We rushed him into intensive care, and after extensive treatment, he made a full recovery. Chiple's predicament is tragically common. When puppies and kittens are not properly vaccinated they become susceptible to diseases that can snuff out their lives. These tragedies are so unnecessary, especially since most veterinary clinics offer low-cost clinics to help reduce vaccine costs. Chiple is anxious to start his new life in a committed home. Please visit and ask for him by name. He debuts f

Adopt me and I can share peace-of-mind with you.

Image
Update: Cubear was adopted on January 20th! Cubear (pronounced "Q"-bear) is a calm, exceptionally handsome, and contented youngster. He is a Pekingese with stunning coloring, neutered male, about 18 months of age. He debuts for adoption today. Please be sure to plan for regular grooming care (and budget extra accordingly). Cubear is well-behaved. Besides being housetrained and crate-trained, he is good with other dogs and mature, kind children. He needed us because his owner was deployed overseas to fight for our country. We believe Cubear will do best in a gentle home.

A tender heart like mine is priceless.

Image
Update: Cayla was adopted on January 20th! Cayla is a lovely spirit with a quieter nature. She is a Shetland Sheepdog, spayed female, about 9-10 years of age. Cayla needed us because her owner lost the family home to foreclosure. She is housetrained (with a doggie door) and compatible with other sweet dogs and older, mature children. Cayla debuts for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.

My previous owner left me in the garage when he went on vacation.

Image
Update: Cutie was adopted on January 27th! Full of tremendous loving potential, Cutie will shine and excel in a gentle home with tender loving care. He is a small Terrier mix with a distinguished appearance, neutered male, about 2 years young. In some ways Cutie has already made progress. Besides being good with dogs, he is reportedly fine with cats, plus housetrained too (with a doggie door). But he is scared of fast movements, a classic sign of prior abuse (physical or screaming). We have no reports of Cutie biting anyone, but it is not uncommon for abused dogs to be nippy when feeling cornered. So to err on the safe side for dog bite prevention, he requires an experienced, adult-only home. With a steady routine and calm caretaking, he will build self-esteem and trust. Cutie debuts for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.

I need a forever home.

Image
Update: J.R. was adopted on January 18th! J.R. is an endearing, charming boy. He is a good-looking Jack Russell Terrier mix, neutered, about 6 years of age. J.R. is reportedly very well behaved and fully housetrained. We have mixed reports on whether he is good with other dogs. J.R. and Scarlett, a female Bully mix, got along beautifully. (Scarlett has since been adopted.) They needed us when their previous family's home was lost to foreclosure. He was adopted recently to a new home, but was returned for being possessive (with people) and irritable with the other dog. So J.R. may do best with larger female dogs, or as the only pet. Like us, each dog has his or her own preferences and dynamics with others. Please come meet this super cute little boy today at Nevada SPCA.

I am exceptionally well socialized and self-assured.

Image
Update: Chip was adopted on July 15th! Chip's carefree demeanor and desire for attention and being held helps him particularly stand out. He is a young, mixed breed rabbit, about 11 months of age. He is neutered and ready for adoption. Chip also enjoys toys and shows great enthusiasm for his daily salads of veggies and greens. He is one of more than 60 rescued, spayed/neutered bunnies for adoption at Nevada SPCA. Please ask for him by name. Like all rabbits in our climate, he needs and deserves an indoor-only home for his safety where he will be a cherished member of the family.

I am a wise old soul who understands well that love and commitment are the greatest gifts.

Image
Update: Winchester was adopted on January 27th! Winchester is an adorable old snugglebug with a gentle nature. He is a Pomeranian, neutered male, approximately 13 years of age. Winchester enjoys other dogs, especially calm ones, and he needs regular brushing and grooming. We rescued him from another shelter, so we have little background information on him. He is on thyroid medication (for the rest of his life) and he requires a soft food diet (because all of his teeth are gone). Winchester debuts for adoption today at Nevada SPCA. He knows that every day is precious. Whether he lives for years to come, or just months, he has a world of unconditional love to offer.

Update: Fluff'N Nutter was adopted on January 23rd! Fluff'N' Nutter is drawn to gentle women. He yearns for their affections and approval. Men terrify him and he prefers to steer clear of adult males. With time and patience, this could change, of course, but for now he seeks those who he feels are least likely to hit him or scream at him. Fluff'N' Nutter is a blue & white Staffordshire Bull Terrier. He is neutered and about 18 months young. He was not socialized as a puppy with other dogs, so unfortunately he needs a home where he is the only dog. Fluff'N'Nutter is on the verge of awakening to the tremendous joy that comes from human kindness. Please ensure he never knows hatred and cruelty again. Fluff'N' Nutter debuts for adoption today.

I may be visually impaired, but my heart is as pure as ever.

Update: Charger was adopted on January 18th! Charger is a gentle soul who loves and adores kind children. He is a medium-size Heinz 57, perhaps with a bit of Retriever or Border Collie. He is neutered, about 6 years of age, and debuting for adoption today at Nevada SPCA. Besides children, Charger enjoys other dogs, and he is housetrained too. He has substantially impaired vision due to previous trauma in both eyes. So please be sure to take extra precautions to keep your home and yard safe for him. Please ask for Charger by name at Nevada SPCA. He will melt your heart.
