They apparently only wanted me for Easter.

Update: Humphrey was adopted on December 26th!

The gimmick and novelty of an "Easter bunny" causes untold tragedy each year, as rabbits are purchased for the holiday and then discarded like old toys or video games.

Humphrey was dangerously close to experiencing the fate of so many rabbits -- abandonment in the desert for a violent death from coyotes or birds of prey (or starvation, dehydration, trapping, more).

Thankfully, this loving boy is safe with us and on the path to a secure, stable, committed lifetime home.

Humphrey is a very handsome Mini Lop, neutered male, about one year of age. He is exceptionally friendly and enjoys being held and petted.

Humphrey is one of almost 70 rescued, spayed/neutered bunnies for adoption today at Nevada SPCA.
